Gadsden State Community College (GSCC) is a two-year college geared to the student who is reluctant or hesitant about entering a four-year college or university. Students applying at the administration office are given a handbook listing all the requirements for entering GSCC.
The admissions office is fully staffed with qualified assistants to aid the prospective student in registering for classes. The financial aid office is located inside the admissions office and is manned by qualified staff to handle financial assistance for students.
The counselors offices are located across the hall from the admissions office where assessment test are given in a quiet and secure setting. The counselors are well versed in the requirements needed by the students to move into any four-year college or university in the state of Alabama.
The professors at GSCC are well rounded and extremely proficient in nurturing new students into college life, which is highly commendable in that it retains students for higher education.
The security at GSCC is comparable to, if not, better than most college/university campuses of record.
GSCC has a fully staffed library on every campus with staff to aid the student in their search for knowledge. GSCC also has a bookstore on campus for books and supplies necessary to equip every student, including shirts, coffee mugs, calendars, backpacks, pens, pencils, protractors and kits for nursing classes.
GSCC has a complete computer facility for students to complete their assignments on campus. Complete computer labs are easily accessible and maintained for testing with a quiet atmosphere for studying and testing.
