The Street Pilot GPS 530 served me well until I tried to upload the 2008 map upgrade.  It is difficult to laod, takes a long time and leaves out important details about the maps.   I spent almost $100 on upgrade but am now looking to buy a new… read full review »

I own 19 GPSr's. I am a geocacher and teach geocaching to groups. Of my 19 units, 15 of them are the yellow e-Trex 100's. One of the 15 is the new H model. They don't have all the bells and whistles of the higher priced models, they are simple to use and the accuracy is acceptable for geocaching. The new H model has even more accuracy. And the cost is right--$100, less if on sale. Battery lasts 14 hours. The camo version may be 'sexier' but for the extra $25 it's not worth it. The yellow color stands out -- a lot harder to lose in the woods. Even the low priced e-trex's are… read full review »

We are going to a Nascar race next month and since they are always doing road construction and detouring you we decided to get a gps so we won't be get lost in a strange city, after doing alot of research and talking to alot of sales people we decided on the  garmin nuvi 250w, the screen is big enough to see and it has text to speech so it will announce the streets so we won't be guessing exactly if we went 300 yards,  we tried it out around town and it really does the job, the only problem we had was it won't stick to our dash the store said it is because our dash is curved so we… read full review »

Not so long ago, I was the designated Mapquest navigator in the household.  When I needed directions to a new destination, I always found the map, printed it off, and read it aloud to my husband while he drove.  All in all, it was better than hurriedly scribbled directions on a napkin.  Even better, I bought my husband the TomTom ONE XL-S GPS Navigation Unit as a special gift.  My Mapquest days are over. Just researching the unit was a nightmare exploration into the jungle of portable GPS units now available to consumers.  There was Mio, Magellan, Gamin, and Tom Tom… read full review »

I got this for my Dad, he loves it.  It never leaves home without it.  He talks about how easy it is to use.  My mom can use it as well she is not very smart when it comes to electronics, but can use this real easy.  They use it for yard sales a lot.  I am so glad I got this.  It is great for… read full review »

I just moved to Texas from California and this gadget is helping me get around so well. You just plug it into your cigarette lighter then turn it on. Its that easy. There is no subscription to buy! It is a driver's companion and then some. You can choose a male or female voice. They never get mad at you! If you go the wrong way they recalculate and get you back on track. — I love it. It was well worth the $148 I paid for it. —… read full review »

Ok, this is the coolest gadget ever.  I have some memory problems to due to a medical problem.  the point being, I get lost easily, even in my home town.  Not anymore though.  Now i have the tom tom one.  I have the voice set to jane.  She uses that beautiful british accent to tell me where to turn and when and shows me as well.  if i make a wrong turn she automatically corrects or adjusts her route to make up for my mistake.  I haven't gotten lost since we got her!  The voice can get a little annoying sometimes though, like if you get off of hte… read full review »

Upgraded from a Magellan Explorist.  Couldn't justify the $600 for a Garmin Colorado but I'm more than happy with the 60CSX.  Turns on and locks on satellites quickly.  Good battery life.  I use it for geocaching and it's a huge improvement not having to hand input the coordinates.  Like the functionality, easy to navigate the menus. Glad I bought this… read full review »
