Garmin - Nuvi 255
I like my Garmin Nuvi 255, we borrowed one from a friends to help us find a venue in the town we live in, we'd never been there before and had to be there at a certain time. Since then, we've purchased one for our family, and use it in all vehicles. It has helped us out time and time again - locally (I'm very good at getting lost around town - it's a big city), this always helps me find my way, and if all else fails, I can click my faves. and 'Home' and get home from whereever I am.
The only thing I found annoying was sometimes the quickest route is not the quickest route. It seems to take you...

I LOVE my Tom Tom. Since moving to Texas I was constantly getting turned around and lost when trying to navigate the city. I finally broke down and bought myself a Tom Tom after looking at several of the different GPS Models.
The Tom Tom is easy to use for ANYONE! I have recommended it to many friends and family, and no matter what their age, they have also found it very easy to use.
The fact that you do not have to pay for the service is truly a blessing in todays market. Once a year you get a reminder to update your maps. For me that is about $78 and that is a deal in itself.
You can add other...

This item was great while it worked. Their tech servioce had us send it back after a long time on the phone. Sent us a refurbished model and it does not work right either. Maybe we just got unlucky. If I were going to buy one again I would check out many reviews for how lng the product worked well. One plus is that the tech service was very polite. They also acted like they have seen the same problems before.
We are really disappointed because as I said we liked it, while it worked. It sat well on the dash. You could speak to it. Listen to it out of its own built in speakers or hook it up to your...
review »Garmin - 205
I purchased the Garmin 205 last Christmas as a present for my husband. Unfortunately for him, it is in my vehicle more often than his vehicle! I thought it would be a "gadget"; something fun to have but of little value on a day to day basis! Boy, was I wrong! We use it weekly, sometimes daily! I use it for work trying to find different locations. We use it in attending all the various sports activities our three children are involved in playing. We use it to locate garage sales, estate sales and antique shops! It helps us when we are traveling to find local interests; area restaurants,...

THe only problem with this is that sometimes it takes a long time to find the satelite signal
Garmin - Nuvi 200
I bought this garmin over a year ago. I ALWAYS get lost, so when I had to commute to college which was a good 25 minutes away, where i've never really driven around, it was a must to get. The garmin still works as great as the day I bought it. The only problem i've ever has is with construction and routes being messed up. Definitely update your maps, or it'll tell you to turn off a overpass randomly. From all the use i've done with it, and the times where i've dropped it, it still works awesome. It has a lot of features, you can definitely personalize it to your likings. The cars can be changed,...

I am not a techy person in any way, but I love having access to technical things. I bought a GPS for my husband for his birthday, and he loves it. I was very hesitate to buy one, thinking we could look up anything or anywhere we needed to go on the intranet and print off the directions. I feel like I know the city I live in fairly well and felt we had no need of one, but my husband really wanted one, so I caved. I cannot tell you how pleased I am that I bought it! It is user friendly and very easy to use. I love being able to look up the closest restaurant or where the closest pharmacy...

I love the ease of using this GPS unit. It gives great speaking directions. Love the fact that you van get updates from the Garmin website for free.
Garmin - Nuvi 200
This GPS, like most others in the market, are life-savers for any traveller. Be it a trip to the new supermarket or a vacation across the country, the Nuvi 200 will set you up so that you don't get lost along the way. Forget Mapquest or Google Maps, the GPS gives me directions and maps in real time as I am driving so that I always find my way and reach my destination safely and on time. Before reaching a turn, it always alerts me a decent distance before the intersection (and not at the last minute, unlike some other older models). The fact that you can save destinations and even listen to music...
review »Garmin - nuvi
My husband is a truck driver and he owns a Garmin Nuvi 205W and he swears by it. We just recently moved from my home state of Ohio to his home state of Mississippi. He stays out 5 weeks at a time. He figured since he is hardly home that I need a navagation system to find my way around. I was apprehensive at first. I don't adapt well to modern technology sometimes. But I can honestly say that its the best investment I think we have ever made. I can go explore anywhere and not have to worry about finding my way home or getting lost trying to find where I am going. I love the feature that you can...

Motorola - Motonav tn20 3.5" Navigation System
I recently purchased the Motorola Motonav Tn20 GPS Naviagtion System from Target online for $79 plus free shipping so it was a great bargin. It has text to speech so it alerts you of street names and adjusts for night time driving. The unit includes a car charger but there is no wall charge included. There is an SD card slot for updated maps which I haven't found any documentation about how to use yet but I intend to continue searching for. My last GPS was a Pharas brand that never updated the maps so it became outdated after a couple years. I'm hoping that I can downing new maps to an SD card...
review »Garmin - Nuvi 200W
I really love the Garmin Nuvi 200W...usually. I love the wide screen, and the turn by turn instructions. I like that you can hit the alternate route option if you run into a road clossed or a lot of traffic. I like that you can search by specific topic, like hotels, or parks.
I don't like that if I travel with it from one state to another via plane it has a hard time finding the satellite and assumes you're still in the last place you were before you turned it off. And I don't like that it comes so full with languages and such that you don't need which take up so much space on the GPS that downloading...
review »Garmin - Nuvi 350
The Garmin Nuvi 350 has been such a wonderful addition to our vacations!! It has a some what slow startup (in my opinion, but I'm a little impatient) but once it's ready to go it's FABULOUS!! The unit is very good about finding the most direct route using major roadways, but is also able to get you to a direction from the middle of no where (I've been "rescued" by it more than once). It offers some outstanding features like - restaurant finder... imagine this ... you are driving along and suddenly start to feel hungry, not only will it give you a list of local restaurants, but it will...
review »Garmin - 255W 4.3-Inch Widescreen Portable GPS Navigator
I actually could not decide between the Garmin Nuvi 255w or the 750 model, so I decided to buy them both for comparison. I mounted them both to my car windshield and gave them various addresses to find together. I found that both models took the same routes and announced upcoming turns and street names at practically the same time. One thing I noticed about the 255w was that it was updating my position on the road more often, I'd say about 3 times as often as the 750. This made for smoother graphics on the 255w of the vehicle moving along displayed roads, where the 750's display was more of a "jerky"...
