The GNC Fish Oil softgels are about the best I have ever gotten. They are a little bit large, but being softgels they are easy to swallow. The do not leave an after taste in your mouth. I take 2 softgels each day which is about 600 mg of omega-3 fatty acids and that's just what the doctor ordered. They do not mess up my stomach and I've had no problems with this product at all. I wait until Rite Aid has this product on sale (like buy one get one free) and I buy a bottle of 360 softgels and get one bottle free, so I have enough for the whole year. I think this product is great! This is one way that I have kept myself healthy this flu season and I have not had a cold in 2 years. I also know that it is good to help you keep your cholesterol down and will keep you from having to have a prescription drug to lower your cholesterol. The doctor told me this, so I believe it. I am one who likes to try a natural way first instead of prescription drugs. So far, it has worked for me.

Gel pill, easy to swallow, and doesn't give you 'fish tasting burps' as many other vitamins give you. My husband added it to his daily routine first due to high cholesterol. In the event of 3 months it has lowered his LDL by 35 points. After seeing it, I decided to add it to my daily routine. Great for your heart. Good supplement when we don't get enough fish in our diet.

I started taking the GNC Triple Strength Fish Oil a little over one year ago. After a Physical with my doctor and a long family history of diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol, we determined I needed to start taking certain supplements to help with some health issues and prevent others. Of all the recommended items, the Fish Oil was at the top of the list. Every doctor I have ever worked with has suggested patients to use fish oil to help with heart health. After receiving the actual numbers from the bloodwork, I decided it was time to really start taking care of myself. I had always been pretty healthy, but I had to step it up a bit. Six months later after taking the Triple Strength Fish Oil, my numbers had durastically improved. Of course, I changed eating habits and made sure to exercise as well, but I will definitely say the doctor and I agree the numbers could not have had such a vast improvement without the help of the fish oil. I take my fish oil at closer to bedtime; I've heard the awful fishy burp stories so I don't want to risk that all day. I have yet to actually experience them though with these. They are suppose to have special coating to help with the burps as well. The boxes can be rather expensive, but are usually on sale (either a mark down price or a bogo type thing). A huge con is just that, the pills are HUGE!!! They are easy to get down due to the coating, but they are rather massive. The pill sizes for GNC pills are actually actual size on their boxes, so just make sure to check that out before commiting to an actual box.

One of the main reasons I started looking for the best Omega 3 Fish oil that I could find is for my dry eyes but I soon realized as I researched Omega 3 that it is so great for many other health issues as well.  My research led me to GNC where I found the Triple Strength Omega 3 Fish Oil that has 900 mg in each softgel.  I was looking for one that was high in EPA and DHA and these were the best over the counter.  I found one other that was about 100 mg higher in EPA and DHA but it had to be ordered over the internet and was much higher in price than the GNC brand.  I really was pleased with the price of the GNC brand but even more please when I found it on special "buy one and get the other at half the price" sale.  When I put the softgel in my mouth, I taste a fishy taste that is not bad considering the other tablets I tried that caused me to burp a lot.  But this softgel does not leave an after taste nor cause me to burp.  Besides no more dry eye, I know that I am helping my blood pressure, my cholesterol level, my joints, my brain, my skin and my heart as well.
