Most HelpfulFor the true "techies" at heart this is the movie you're going to want to see. Forget complicated plots or storylines, the gadgets alone in this movie are worth seeing. Some emotions are touched on briefly in this movie but essentially it's about a blast every two minutes, large scale attacks and unreal...

Most HelpfulBottom-Line: I recommend G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra; it's a great escape even for an adult!
Story Line
The story goes thusly: In the not too distant future Army Special Forces Captain Duke (Channing Tatum) and his Special Forces sidekick Sergeant Ripcord (Marlon Wayans) head a detachment of men escorting...

I hated the idea that the Joes were not "Real American Heroes" but rather the best of the best from different countries from around the world. I hated the idea that Joseph Gordon Levitt was going to be playing Cobra Commander. I really hated that Marlon Wayans was going to be playing Ripcord. I was absolutely ready to hate G.I. This movie ruined the 80's for me. It was hard telling which character was which. There a w love story that was pointless and it didn't make you care about the characters.
Snake Eye ( also played Darth Vader ) didn't even do too many fight scenes. Plus everyones backgroound story was incorrect from the cartoon and comics.
Maybe if they had called it GI Joe new evolution and had new GI Joes then I could of been somewhat entertained. But if you are a 80's fan you will be disappointed.
My family...

My husband and I loved this movie. It was action all the way none stop. Great movie to go watch. I can watch it again.
