GHD GHD Purple IV Gift Set, limited edition Review

My flat iron bit the dust so my amazing boyfriend bought me the GHD Limited Edition Purple IV gift set! It includes:

- A beautiful purple carrying bag

- 1 purple flat iron with lovely pearl colored designs

- 1 travel hair dryer.

- 2 hair clips

I'll start off by saying the hair dryer is VERY weak and i will probably never use it, to be honest. I have very thick hair so it would take FOREVER to get it dry. However i can see how people with fine or very sensitive hair could use this item. (this hair dryer was just an added bonus for me, i only wanted the flat iron)

The lovely purple roll up bag comes with 2 detachable satin bags. One for the flat iron and one for the hair dryer, though i will probably use it as a accessory bag!

The two hair clips it comes with are SO handy to help part your hair while using the flat iron.

Okay now for the best part.... the flat iron!!!!! Not only is it beautiful but it is hands down the best flat iron that has ever graced my hair! (and trust me there have been many)

My hair usually takes around 20-30 minutes to flat iron and style, with the GHD Purple IV i was done before i knew it! My hair was left looking so soft and shiny with no crispy ends like some flat irons leave behind.

The GHD Purple IV heats literally in seconds. No more turning on the flat iron and wondering off while it heats anymore, you turn it on and by the time your done pinning up your hair its ready.

This flat iron glides on my hair like a knife through butter. No snagged hairs. No discomfort whatsoever just easy breezy styling. Whether its to straighten, curl or wave this baby does the trick.

The only Cons i can think of are:

The Purple IV is a limited edition and may not be available to you (though i'm pretty sure the other GHD flat irons are just as great!)

The price, usually for a REAL GHD you'll drop at least $200-$255

The biggest con though is that there are so very many fake GHD's being sold. Make sure you buy yours from a GHD approved retailer. There is no way to know until you actually have it if its a fake. Don't risk it. :)
