Gerber Graduates —

While I generally like the Gerber brand, I'm really disappointed with their Stage 3 and toddler foods. The foods generally are loaded with additives, preservatives, sugar, and salt and most contain meat (I'm raising a vegetarian child). I really see no difference between the Gerber Graduate meals and a can of Chef Boy-r-dee (and I wouldn't feed that to my child).

I'm not sure where you are getting that the graduate foods are filled with preservatives & additives. It says right on the front of the labels, NO preservatives & if you turn the box over it also states no artificial flavors. As far as sugar or salt, there is a small amount of sugar added & salt is in everything we eat, unless you grow all your own veges & make all your own broths,.,.,it is impossible to get away from. What items are you looking at that contain preservatives? You can buy vegetarian portions like the mac n cheese or pasta & veges in tomato sauce.
These meals also provide veges in every portion..so it's a great method to get you little one used to veges. I just tried one out with my daughter this past week & she took to it immediately. Good thing too cause she was bored with the 3rd foods. She's 10 months old & loves the mac-n-cheese & pastas.
