"Who doesn't love clean, fresh clothes?" I think you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone that doesn't, and reviewers think you'll have an easy time keeping those clothes clean with a GE Washer. Some saw an "immediate difference" in their laundry after switching to the GE brand, due to "the agitator being more vigorous." They also appreciate the super-size tub that allows them to wash larger loads. It's simple enough for older kids to use, but the biggest attraction to this washer could be the brand name, as some reviewers feel GE Washers are the best on the market. A few report it breaking down too soon, "just after the warranty runs out." But overall, reviewers have had such success with this washing machine, they're asking, "Why did I wait so long to get a GE washer?"

Very disappointed in this product. Paid $400 for this thing, thought at the time we bought a half way decent washing machine, especially sent GE has been around awhile, well I guess we were wrong. Just after the warranty ran out, we can't get just cold water out of it, we have to watch that the warm water doesn't turn to just HOT mid fill and now the on button (which is attached to the main board, of all things is PLASTIC) I had a service man take a look at it and the main board alone is over $200, he told me that it would be a waste of money to fix this machine, that I would be throwing...

GE Washer S2100G5WW. This is my newest washer. I have just moved into this new home, I bought a washer and Dryer actually. I wanted a temporary one until I am ready to replace a better one that was destroyed in the move. I am still in the testing stages, but this model is a life saver. The sheer simplicity makes it an attractive purchase, but my big surprise came when I forgot that this was not my previous washer and I used it as would have used my old heavy duty washer (I'll leave that model out since it is not under review). I bought a GW Profile washer (model WJRE5500G1WW) 18 months ago when we moved to our new home. There are many features on it I never liked but it did an adequate job and we weren't in a position to buy a new one. Now it has been unuseable for two weeks, going on three. First it needed a new lid switch, now the control panel has to be replaced.

We built our house in April 2006 and had a new GE washer put in then. It already has stopped working. It skips cycles, smells horribly and the hose has disconnected and spilled gallons and gallons of water all over my floor. If I did not have tile and noticed the spills right when they happened, I would have had some huge clean up bills. Just bought a GE Top Loading Washing Machine from Home Depot. It's not top of the line but for the price has been everything I needed in a washing machine. It is amazingly quiet compared to my now defunked 11 year old Maytag.
So glad I made this investment!
This washing machine is just great. It holds very large loads and gets them clean. I runs quietly as well. No fancy bells and whistles just gets clothes clean.
