This washer was great, and it wasn't too expensive compared to the other front loaders and the large amount of money you save on water and soap.

But just under two years old and it died, and I got a run around from GE on the warranty, they said I would have to pay $150 minimum for a person to come out if they couldn't prove it was a warranty issue, and other scare tactics.

The matching front loader dryer's timer died after only one year, so we have to manually turn it off or it will run all day and night, not stopping on it's own.

GE has left a really bad taste in my mouth after dealing with their products.

Think they were made in China?

 Probably.

I'm going to avoid GE in the future for all products I buy after the way I was treated.

I feel your pain. I too purchased this machine & it has already died It started leaking after the first year & now a main bracket that holds the tub steady has coroded & broken. Biggest piece of crap that I have EVER owned. I am now afraid of anything that has GE on it.
