We purchased a GE stainless steel tub energy saver top loading washing machine a few years ago. After using it the first time, I called for service and was told the fact that it sounded like a jet taking off was normal. Finally a service person came and some items were replaced. It was still very noisy but not as bad. However, within months it squeaked. Again major parts were replaced. It should have been like a new machine and work great but it is not and never has been. I am disappointed that GE would not replace it and insisted on replacing parts. They would not extend the warranty on the parts. We now have squeaking again and it is the noiseiest washer ever. I detest it. The motor, brakes, clutch, etc. were all replaced.

I purchased this washer one year ago. It has performed beyond my hopes. My husband is a farmer with lots of dirty, greasy clothes. This GE King Size Stainless Steel Washer cleans thoroughly and quietly. Besides handling my big dirty loads, it does as well with a tiny load of one or two items. The clothes are clean and not overly wrinkled like some washers will do with a small load. I would recommend this washer and would not hesitate to buy another one!

I had always used a large capacity washing machine. I raised three kids and found it useful to keep a large machine. Since this is not my first large capacity washer, I knew what I was looking for. The stainless steel tub caught my eye because I had tired of the other types. This machine does not beat the clothes and gives them a gentle wash. The cycle features are more than adequate. I love my new GE Star King Size stainless washer & dryer. It was so quiet that I thought it wasn't working. It is super quiet and huge!! The clothes come out clean, and it does everything I need it to do. Whatever you're washing, this machine's got it covered....

I purchased a GE heavy duty top load washer in November of 2006. We had to call a

repairman on July 21st because it wouldn't go into the spin cycle. I had always purchased

KENMORE but I thought I would just try a GE. BIG MISTAKE! The repairman charged me

$45.00 to tell me that it would cost more to fix than to buy a new one. We were told to

junk it. The start button was a " touch button." Sometimes it started, sometimes it didn't.

I will never buy another GE product.

This washer is very efficient and washes clothing very well. never have had a problem with it. well recommended. the energy costs are very low. I was not to sure about it originally but now i love it. Pricing is not bad at all, I purchased the washer and dryer combo at Best Buy....

I got this as a wedding gift and i can not be happier! People you'll get your dishes sparkling clean . it is extremely quite!Also it uses less energy, therefore less money to pay at the end of the month. It has so many useful functions..short cycle; etc.

i would reccomend this to anyone who is looking for a high quilty washer at a great, reasonsable price!

i am hooked on Ge products..absolutely great!!!

Two weeks ago, I decided to have my laundry room remodeled. It was old and dingy and I hated to do laundry because of it. One week later, the work has begun and it's looking pretty spiffy! How in the world could I put my old, crotchety washer and dryer back in there? I couldn't.

Bright and early the next morning, I was on my way Home Depot to buy a new washer and dryer! The employee there was very knowledgeable about his department and after I told him what I was looking for, he pointed me towards this particular machine.

The Energy Star by GE is stylish, big and works like a dream! I am actually very excited to do laundry now. It holds almost twice as much as my old machine washed! Which saves me time and we all know how valuable time is these days! The Home Depot associate than told me how the Energy Star model saves on your water, electric and gas (dryer) bills....so basically it pays for itself. ...
