Looks weird, but puts out a good light!

budget conscious, looking for durability, a home owner, conveniently green, willing to pay for quality, willing to pay more for quality

Pros

Uses less energy, Cost is starting to come down, lasts longer, saves us money

Cons

sometimes to bright, slightly more expensive to purchase, disposal is a hassle- toxic material!

GE Soft White Spiral T3 16254 —

We are converting our whole house to these new type of bulbs. They are supposed to be very efficient and use less energy. I suppose it is our immediate contribution to help fight high energy prices and global warming. It is a small step, but we feel that these bulbs, if used universally, will help reduce consumption of energy. As far as the bulb itself - it is bright! I caution any consumer to read the package directions as these bulbs are brighter than standard bulbs of the same wattage. Buy these bulbs at a lower wattage to get the same - or better - amount of light output.
