GE Soft White Spiral T3 16254 Review

I had heard from my brother and sister in law that these were great light bulbs.  They are both very budget conscious like I am, however I didn't really believe if these bulbs would make that big of a difference and I wasn't too sure about spending $3 or $4 on one light bulb, when you could get an army of the regular light bulbs for that price.  So I decided to try them... and I have to say, except for the special size light bulbs, I won't go back to regular light bulbs ever.

My bathroom is not very big, not tiny, but definitely not huge.  I have a light above the vanity that takes four 60 watt bulbs.  It would get so hot in there from the regular light bulbs, I would have to step out and then come back in when I was getting ready in the mornings (and I am usually cold).  These light bulbs seem to let off more light and definitely not near the heat, if any. 

The only thing I was concerned about that I did not know is there is some mercury in the bulbs, and you can't just through them in the garbage.  You have to dispose of them properly, environmentally safely, and you have to find out what stores will take them back when they do go bad.
