These things are the best!

not very handy
Pros

    Uses less energy, lasts longer, saves us money, Cost is starting to come down, practical

    slightly more expensive to purchase

We recently started replacing all the bulbs in our home with the GE Soft White Spiral bulbs.  The difference in the light is amazing, and they don't get nearly as hot as the traditional bulbs did.  We've had some of them in place for around 6 months and so far none have burned out.  We were replacing bulbs before every time we turned around.  These bulbs seem to really live up the the manufacturer's word.
