This refrigerator came with our house. The house had been sitting new and unoccupied for six years. The water dispenser had never been turned on, so I did that. Very shortly thereafter, we started noticing the water dispenser would drip slowly after you used it, eventually filling the drip tray and overflowing onto the front of the door and down onto the floor. After consulting an appliance repair specialist, I replaced the water valve, which was very easy. So that problem is solved. I'm concerned about the frequency with which I need to change the water filter. I'd rather provide filtered water to the fridge instead of having to replace a filter every few months. The design of the interior limits how much "tall stuff" you can put in it. We really need two tall shelves, which eliminates shelf space for other items. There are just three of us living here, and it seems like a lot of space is wasted with a big light fixture at the top. Interior Organization Space is very, very limited even with just three of us living here. Too much drawer space, too little shelf space.

We have had this fridge for about 7 years and it is okay. But it broke down twice when it was only about 2 years old. We had to have 2 service men come down to repair it only a few months apart and that was annoying, a pain and expensive. Then when it was about 4 the ice maker went and it no longer would make ice so I have been making it in trays and throwing it into the ice box and we were still getting it out the front of the fridge, well now that doesn't work either and for some reason it only comes out crushed and sprays the ice everywhere! I am very disappointed because both my sister in laws bought side by side fridges at the same time as I did and they have not had as many problems as we have. I will definitely have to buy a fridge soon, and I think it should have lasted a little longer. Ease of Cleaning The glass shelves are very scratched.

We wish we had done a bit more looking before purchasing, but we had looked, and we thought enough. We realized we should have looked closer. Noise Level Low noise level we don't really have any problems there. Interior Organization We can always use more room, but this refrigerator has a decent amount of space Temperature Control Its never given us any problems unless you stuff the fridge full(around holidays)and then it can freeze some lower items. Ease of Cleaning I have no problems cleaning the inside, but the stainless steel needs a special cleaner. Durability The sliding comparments are poorly made with cheap plastic and so we have had to replace and they can get quite expensive Design Outside is fine need more durable sliding drawers inside.

I had just moved into my new house and decided to get a new refrigerator. I went and purchased a GE GS25QS side by side refrigerator. I have been having this refrigerator for 3 years, and i haven't had a problem yet. I am very happy with the product. My beverages get really cold quickly, it only takes 30 minutes for a gallon of water to get cold. The GE GSS25QS is a large refrigerator, so you would need a good amout of space (Width: 35.75 in, Height: 69.25 in., Depth: 33.56 in.). It also has a digital temperature display, that has child lock. I love this feature because my kids love to touch. It has a storage bin that has adjustable humidity vegetable/fruit crisper to keep the vegetable or fruit fresh, and it also has adjustable temperature to keep the meats and the cheese fresh. An ice maker is also attached to the freezer door, I can't really tell you much about that because I never used it. But the rest is a thumbs up.

It is so pretty with its stainless steel doors that I made it part of my closing deal when I bought my home. I chose this particular one because I like the side-by-side doors and thought there was plenty of shelving inside. The temperatures inside are adjustable and easy to use. The only complaints I have have to do with the internal water system. When I first used this fridge I had a hard time getting water to come out of the dispenser. A friend recommended that I change the filter, so I did. It worked better. Then, the water stopped coming out completely. I tried to troubleshoot it myself but to no avail. I do not have the funds to call in anyone either. I tried another filter but that did not work either. Other than that, it;'s a nice fridge

I have this refrigerator in the Clean Steel finish, and I have to say - I LOVE that part of it. We have small children, and the fact that it doesn't show fingerprints is wonderful. The temperature is easy to set for both the freezer and the refrigerator, and the water/ice maker functions well. It is also nice to be able to select from crushed or cubed ice. So functionally, I have no complaints about the machine. However, I have to say, this machine started making strange noises soon after we purchased it. It's very sporadic, and hard to describe. Sometimes it's a whistling sound, and other times it is a "ping" sound. The rear of the machine is frequently cleaned, so there isn't a problem with dust clogging it and causing problems. We have had it inspected, and of course it didn't make any sounds when the technician looked at it. He found no problems at all or any reason for it to be making noise. So I have a perfectly functional machine that is sometimes noisy - hence the "average" rating.

After 3 years of owning GE appliances in my home I've come to expect great quality and the GE GSS25QS refrigerator is no exception.  The ice maker and water dispenser was an important feature for me and it works great in this refrigerator.  I get to have cheap, clean water to drink or use for cooking and I only have to replace the water filter about once a year.  There's a light on the front panel that tells you when the filter needs to be replaced and it only takes about 5 minutes to put in a new one.  The filters are a bit pricey, but it's much less expensive than using bottled water and better for the environment, since I'm not throwing away plastic bottles all the time. The temperature of the refrigerator and freezer are easily adjustable with the push of a button on the front panel.  I set the temperature at the setting recommended in the manual and have never had any problems with freezer burn or food not staying cold enough.  The capacity is pretty large and there's always plenty of room for all the food my family of four needs. I do wish the shelving in the refrigerator was a little more versatile and allowed me to fit taller items inside more easily.  I also wish some of the bins in the refrigerator door were a bit deeper.  I have trouble fitting bottles of juice and half gallon milk cartons in some of the bins.  On a positive note all the shelves are easily removable for cleaning, which I think is very nice and allows me to scrub everything down without leaving the refrigerator open for an extended period.
