When we moved into our house we had to choose new appliances. We had to choose from some GE products. I have always heard good things about GE appliances so I was not worried. The look of the refrigerator was nice. It is very spacious inside and most of the time is able to fit all our food in easily. Though if we have a holiday meal with lots of leftovers sometime the space is limited. The refrigerator is also easy to clean inside. A few sprays from a multi-purpose cleaner is all it takes. However, I have a few concerns. For some reason the ice compartment always freezes up. My husband is constantly having to break the ice up because it gets stuck. Also the water pressure is rather low. It takes quite awhile to fill up our glasses. Also, the stainless steel finish is not of the best quality. It shows water stains right away and it is not easily to clean even with stainless steel cleaner. Overall, I am not thrilled with the refrigerator and would go with something else next time.

Not reliable. Stopped cooling after 4 years. I expect at least 10 years service from a refrigerator before a servicve call is necessary. With only two of us in the house, it gets minimal use so failure to cool after 4 years is unacceptable. Even before total failure, I had to adjust the settings for the freezer and main compartment from time to time. I never had to do anything with other refrigerators. Noise Level Louder than other refrigerators I have owned. Temperature Control Had to adjust settings from time to time because temperature would drift. Durability Stopped ciooling after 4 years.

We were forced into buying a new refrigerator after our old one broke while we were gone and spoiled all our food.  We didn't have much time to do comparison shopping, so we had to rely on brandnames that we trust.  GE is a name that we have always had success with, and the price of this refrigerator made us feel comfortable.  When it was delivered, we realized that the space we had wasn't big enough, so we had to build a makeshift stand in order to make it fit, and we are so glad we did.  This refrigerator holds so much food!  I was concerned about the freezer space because I freeze everything, but the freezer is wide enough for pizza boxes and is well-organized with shelves.  I really like the icemaker but the pan gets dirty easily.  We have yet to change the filter for the water, but it seems like an easy enough task.  All-in-all we are very pleased with our purchase and would highly recommend this refrigerator to our friends.
