The GE ASW12 Room air conditioner is not a bad air for its price.  12000 BTU.  It helps keep my living room and kitchen nice and cool.  The installation process isn't too lengthy, though it is a heavy air conditioner so at least two people should handle the installation. Pros: Digital setup, energy saver, remote control.  Easy to clean filter...just take out, wash, dry, and put back in. Cons:  It isn't the quietest air conditioner out there.  It blows strong and true, but if you are sitting near it you will most definitely have to turn up the volume on the television to hear whatever you are watching.  It also has a tendency to freeze up on severly hot and humid days.  Then the only thing you can really do for it is turn it off and hope it unfreezes soon enough so you don't swelter in the heat. Even with a couple of cons, this product is a decent product for its price.  If this is all you can afford, then rest assure you  are getting a nice product.  Though if you can afford better, buy something else.
