GE Profile EnergyStar Refrigerator —

We bought this model PGSS5NFXCSS with hope of having a care-free fridge but the food keeps freezing in the fridge.  We also bought a service contract from Sears.  Between Sears and GE they do not know what to do to fix.  We have asked for replacement but both are uncooperative.  The top fridge is nice to not have to stoop down to get food.  The 24.9 capacity sounds like alot but it seems small and the vegtable bins are tiny.

Anyone interested in buying this model or one like it should really look at these features and do your homework.  Don't be wowed by the appearance, really look at the cavity of the frigde.

We have the same problem of food freezing in the fridge area. GE has been out 4 times, they claim the problem is the unit in the back of the fridge, the gasket doesn't seal tight. The tech. told me there is a service bulletin for this problem. What he did was remove the unit from the back and added an extra layer of what looks like weather striping to seal the unit. Guess what.. IT STILL DOESN'T fix the problem !! and like the other person GE won't replace the unit. Visit number 5 has been scheduled.
