GE Profile Dishwasher does NOT CLEAN the dishes ....EVER!

GE Profile Dishwasher — 

We purchased all GE Profile appliances for our kitchen and began using them in June '08.  The GE Profile Stainless Steel dishwasher left debris on everything...no matter that I used the recommended detergent and rinse aid and did everything GE suggested when I contacted them (raise water temp, place white vinegar in dishwasher, use "add heat" feature, etc.).  Finally, I called for a technician.  3 service techs from Sears and 5 from GE and still no one can determine why there is debris on everything.  They ran diagostics which show everything is working properly, so they report "everything works as it was designed"....well, the parts they ran diagnostics on may have shown they were working, but the dishwasher itself is not performing as it was designed which (correct me if I'm wrong, GE) is to CLEAN the dishes!!  Several calls to GE and they finally told me there is nothing more they will do even though the dishwasher is still under the original manufacturer's warranty!  I spoke two separate times to the same gal in customer relations and she was very, very rude, even calling me a liar, and her supervisor whom I asked to speak with simply said there is nothing more GE will do.  GE does NOT stand behind their products so BUYER BEWARE!!  This dishwasher was $1189.99 plus tax....and I spent $10,500 total on GE appliances for the kitchen....and GE refuses to replace this hunk of junk dishwasher which obviously and for whatever reason is not working properly. I would attach a photo of the brown/black residue sitting in the bottom of the dishwasher (which I believe is what is getting on everything when the dishwasher runs), but I don't want to turn anyone's stomach).  The techs see it there, but have no idea why it's there or how to keep it from recurring.  Thankfully, now that I'm at the end of my rope, Sears has agreed to replace this beast....SEARS, not GE.  And GE, because of your disgraceful treatment of THIS customer, you can bet money I won't purchase another GE appliance in my lifetime.  You should be totally ASHAMED of yourselves...and if your phone calls are, in fact, monitored, check back and review just how your "customer relatons" personnel are treating your customers!

My husband and I also spent a lot of money on GE profile appliances when we bought out first home. We too have the same issues. First of all our dishwasher does not clean, out frigerator runs extremelly hard at times, and when we turn the vent on on out microwave it does not want to turn off. It seems like the only appliance that works as advertised is out stove. It seems like alot of people have issues with these appliances. My husband and I are so extremelly frustrated with our dishwasher. We too will never buy GE appliances again. BUYER BEWARE
