I am very disappointed in our GE PDW9700NII Dishwasher.  We built our house in 2007 and decided to put GE profile in since we had them in our last home we built and we were very happy with them.  BUT, this is not the case with this model.  The basket already has pieces breaking off.  Some of the prongs in the baskets have eroded and broke off.  The silverware basket has three of the little compartments that have broke with holes in them so the silverware falls through the holes.  It also has an automatic Smart Dispenser for the dishwasher detergent.  It will dispense the detergent so you do not have to fill the detergent everyday which I liked that feature.  The problem is, they state in the manual to use Cascade dishwasher detergent.  The Cascade bottles are not very clear about what is in them and if you mix the Cascade with Bleach with the regular kind then it causes the detergent to clump and clog up the dispenser rendering it inoperable so you are back to daily filling the detergent.  My Smart Dispenser clogged up and it took me a few months to finally get it to work again.  As for the cleaning job, I don't think it cleans as well as my other GE Profile.  I have to pre-rinse the dishes or else they do not get clean.   I would not recommend this model to anyone.  It is expensive and is already falling apart.
