The entire GE Profile line was used in all the houses on our street and every one of them has died, needed to be replaced or been poor poor quality in less than 5 years!  I do not suggest ever using GE Profile appliances. One house even had their range top start on fire!

The GE Profile Stainless Dishwasher came with the house I bought brand new.  I was thrilled to have a stainless steel dishwasher and was even more excited to know that it was also stainless steel inside the washer.  I had heard that this was better for cleaning your dishes as well keeping the washer inside more bacteria free.  All and all, this washer has been a great, dishes come out sparkling clean.  It has a feature and allows you to put in a whole bottle of dish detergent and close it up and that it.  You don't have to worry about filling it up every time you start a load.  It automatically dispenses the detergent for you, up to 24 or so washes.  Though this feature would be a bonus for some, I didn't exactly like the idea of my detergent sitting in the washer at all time.  I also noticed that the detergents in the tablet forms don't work very well in the dispenser.  They don't dissolve well and end up almost completely intact at the bottom of your washer.  Because of this I decided to stick with liquid detergent from now on.  Not sure if this is washer issue or a detergent defect.

I've been using this GE Profile dishwasher for  3+ years now and have no complaints.  The stainless steel design adds a stylish look that compliments the durability of this fine machine.  I'm from the school of thought that anything and everything should be cleaned by my dishwasher rather than by hand in the sink so I definitely put this machine to work and it has stepped up to the challenge everytime.  The menu displayed on the front is easily understandable which allows for quick selection and minimal time to start.  When running it can be a bit loud during certain cycles but it's nothing you can't get used to over time.  The trays are versatile allowing you to fit almost anything in by simply folding parts down.  It also has fold down options on the top to hold wine glasses in place during cleaning.  Overall, the capacity coupled with the efficiency and cleaning ability make for a quality dishwasher.

We own the GE Profile PDW7880G 24" Built in Dishwasher and LOVE it!  It is so quiet, cleans exceptionally well and we've had NO problems what so ever!  I highly reccommend this product to anyone!!
