I purchased the GE PEB1590 in December, and it is very efficient.  For example, It took 4 1/2 minutes to pop a bag of microwave popcorn in my previous Montgomery Wards convection microwave, and it takes less that 2 1/2 minutes with the GE.  I haven't used the convection feature yet, but I anticipate that it will work well.  The turntable made an awful racket when I first got the oven, but the service department shipped me a new guide roller assembly that took care of the problem.  In addition to the microwave, I purchased a 5-year extended warranty from HomeEverything for an extremely reasonable price.
