GE JES1142SJ Review

This GE 1.1 Cubic Foot Capacity Countertop Microwave Oven, Model JES1142SJ,is a great microwave.  It has so many pre settings and so many features that are very useful.  I bought this microwave to replace a smaller one that had started to make some noise when cooking.  I ordered online from Wal-Mart.com and sent it to the site to store.  I picked it up in a few days and brought it home.  I had to remove the protective, blue cover from the stainless steel but it was pretty easy to do.  The stainless steel looks great.  However, within two months I had to have a service rep from GE come out and fix something on the microwave.  One day the microwave just stopped working.  It would not power on or cook or do anything.  The rep came out 3 days after the call but it only took a few minutes for him to fix it and it is working great now.  It heats the food very quickly and evenly and compared to my last one it is so much faster cooking.  It has a glass turntable that extends the entire length of the inside cavity.  It rotates different ways each time the microwave is started.  It has a Child Lock, Cooking Complete Reminder, Auto & Time Defrost, and a Clock.  These features are really nice to have and the child lock is a very nice safety feature that I did not see on many of the less expensive microwaves.  Another nice feature is the Cooking Guide Label on the inside lip of the microwave that gives quick directions for the different settings on the microwave like defrost, popcorn, beverages, etc.
