GE JEB1095BB Microwave/Convection Oven —

When we built our new home in 2001, we wanted a second oven, but decided a microwave over the oven that was a convection oven too, made more sense. We were very happy with the GE JEB1095BB for the first several months, but then the troubles began. After about eight months we had trouble with the door interlock switch. But, it was on warranty, so who cared? Beside, we had purchased an insurance policy as part of the deal that covered all the appliances for four years (normally not what we do, but it covered everything in the kitchen for four years for less than $300). They fixed a plastic part in the door which has come loose and all was well. About a year later, the same plastic part broke, and they replaced it. In five years they replaced that part six more times! Obviously, the plastic was not up to the task! During that time they also replaced the magnetron once. While this is a very good appliance when it works, it is certainly one that requires a lot of repair. I would not buy this model again.
