This was a replacement for our Jen-Air dishwasher. We purchased it in November of 2010. It cleans well, with no residue, the speed of the cleaning cycle is in my opinion very fast and so quiet. I can have the tv and dishwasher going with no adjustments to the volume.

This dishwasher works great. So far I have had no issues using it whatsoever. It has a solid feel and is easy to clean. There have been issues with draining or drying, no leaking, nothing. It's fairly new, and hasn't stood the test of time yet, but if it's anything like my other GE appliances, it will work great for a long time. I use dishwasher powder bars rather than liquid soap, I heard they are "healthier" for a dishwasher. Liquids I hear can create buildup on the float and drain pump, leading to draining issues, like my old dishwasher had. The dishes all come out sparking clean and smelling great. Very hot too, as the heating element is used rather than air drying. I've been without a dishwasher for years and when I switched the this I ended up saving so much time and effort. I absolutly love it and recommend to anyone. it's affordable and looks good in probably any kitchen. I used to believe maytag was the way to go, but this is a great unit.

I bought this dishwasher several years ago. Because it was black and it matched my kitchen to the tee. It was very pretty and sleek. It is very very quiet. It makes my dishes shine like a new coin and it takes food stains off your dishes as well. I have a tupperware bowl i have had for years. It got stained with spaghetti sauce. I scrubed that thing for years and never could get it out of there. When i put it in my new washer it came out looking brand new. You can fix your hair in your glassware when they come out. All in all i would tell everyone to run our and buy this washer TODAY!!!!

 My wife and I moved into an apartment complex in 2009 with a GE dishwasher already installed in the apartment. It has worked very well for us over the past year or so. It has never shown any signs of wear and tear. I'm not sure what year the dishwasher made but I don't think it was brand new when we moved in. We're really glad that it's black because all of our other kitchen appliances are black too, so they go well together. I have only two small complaints about this dishwasher. I've had other dishwashers before and they seem to be a little bit quieter than this one. The loudness may be because we live in a one bedroom apartment so we're closer to it while it's on. The other is that the racks are large enough so sometimes we'll get a plastic cooking utensil that falls down onto the heating element causing it to melt. This also happens with food particles but they just burn off harmlessly. Other than that it works very well and usually gets the dishes very clean.
