Our household always seemed to be replacing the washing and drying machines fairly quickly and more often than we should have been! Finally we purchased this dryer after some research on budget friendly ones. We do roughly 3 loads of laundry during a normal week. So, the dryer gets heavily used. We wash everything from clothing to blankets to towels and pillows. I love that the dryer has different heat settings depending on what material I want to dry. It always has a self timer to set how long you need to load to dry. This has been the only dryer that has dried heavier, bulky items all the way through without needing to be put through a second time. I have noticed that it was very quiet for the first year we owned it and it has slowly gotten squeaky. The belt was replaced and the squeaky noises went away and the dryer was whisper quiet yet again! The lint tray is right on top and super easy to remove and clean so I have no worries or issues with it. Overall, this is a great budget drying machine. It works efficiently and I have never had a complaint about how well it works compared to any others that we have had! I recommend this to any family needing a great dryer for a great price.

I have had this dryer for a while now and I am so happy with it! It does a great job of getting clothes nice and dry but it doesn't go overboard with the heat. That way, my clothes don't wind up shrinking even if we have to dry them for a long time. It works really well and I almost never have to restart it and let things dry longer, which is a totally new thing since I have had bad luck with dryers in the past. I would definitely recommend it. Load Capacity This holds so much more than I was expecting. I really thought it wouldn't hold very much, but I can actually get huge loads into it and they always get dry easily. Performance I have been very happy with the performance of this dryer. Ease of Use It took me a little while to figure out which settings to use, but after some trial and error it worked out. Durability This handles at least one load per day and does just fine. Design It's not terribly pretty, but it gets the job done and that's what counts.

Dryer is almost done but it has served me well over the years. The GE Electric Dryer is easy to use and work on. I have replaced the rear bearing, front bearing, front drum, and real heating coil. All these items were easily purchased and installed with reference documentation and videos available online. Load Capacity Easily fits a large load or a large comforter set. Performance Works well, definitely a standard working dryer. Not the same as the new energy efficient dryers or the "smart dryers", but for something easy and cheap this dryer is a good option. Ease of Use Simple and easy to use, my 11 year old daughter often operates and the controls are easy to understand. Durability Has been through several moves and continues to work, though I have had to put some time and effort into replacing parts, the dryer works well and is durable. Design Easily fits into any laundry room or laundry closet, simple and matches as a set with other dryers.

This dryer machine was already at our apartment when we moved in here about a year ago. The dryer impressed me immediately with the speed of drying my family's clothing. The only negative is the lack of it being energy efficient. I am willing to given up the energy efficiency for dry clothing without the lingering moist and musty odors. This dryer machine has a variety of settings, including an alarm for when the clothes are finished drying. It gives me the option of how long I feel the clothes need to be dried. For a super dark load of clothes, I dry the clothes for fifty to sixty minutes. We are always washing and drying towels, and I have never had an issue with them being musty smelling. The dryer has a lint collecting container under the door opening. The container is easy to slide out and replace. The lint is always easy to scrape off. The machine itself is also easy to clean and wash down as dust often collects on it.

We purchased our GE Electric Dryer as used from the same local dealer that we purchased our first one from so we received a standard 6 month warranty on it from the dealer rather than be eligible for a extended warranty from the manufacturer. It said that it was large capacity but, to be honest, I don't see much of a difference from our previous model as far as it's overall size. You may want to measure the area it will need to go through as well as we caught some trouble fitting it in initially. Even though we purchased it used, I am quite impressed with it's inner workings. It dries efficiently and the lint trap feature seems to be working over time as well. It has the capability to be set to easy dry, cottons as well as the traditional timed dry. The finished alarm on it could be a bit louder in my opinion although, I probably don't here it that well because it's in the basement even though our previous one could be heard from the same distance. I did notice a slightly larger capacity on the inside of the dryer. I don't use it to it's max capabilities though and the reward I get from that is that the clothing dries a little bit faster than it used to. It simply gives the clothing and heat more room to circulate. Load Capacity I use the same size load as I did previously but, it does dry faster as a result. Performance So far so good, purchased used. Design Basic, simple to understand, operate.

I just purchased this dryer about a month ago and have been very pleased with its performance. This dryer replaces my previous dryer of 15 years. Both the exterior and interior size are ideal for a drying clothes for a family of five. Two months ago I had to replace my washer so I was looking for the matching set when my dryer broke. I was very surprised by the size this dryer can process a load of laundry. The lint trap is very easy to use and clean out after each cycle. Since my dryer in my basement I love the dryer signal notifying me when the cycle is complete. Load Capacity This dryer matches the load capacity of my new GE washer that I just purchased two months ago. My previous dryer could only handle about half of what this one can handle. In addition the cycle is about twenty minutes less than my old one. Performance Between the load capacity and cycle time to dry I am impressed with the overall performance of this GE dryer. Ease of Use The control panel is very easy to see and operate. In addition this front door is can be switched from side to side very easily if needed. I had to switch mine upon purchase and it was very easy. Durability Since I have only had this about one month it is difficult to judge long term durability, however the cycle is very quiet during operation which I enjoy. Design I like the over size of both the interior and exterior of this dryer. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable and efficient dryer.

I have owned this dryer for six months. I love it! It has several options for the amount of drying you prefer, wrinkle care, fabric care, and a "finish" signal if you'd like. The lint trap is easy to access (in the front of the machine, just inside the door. My only complaints--it's a bit louder than my previous machine. And it takes longer to dry. But I would definitely but it again.
