GE Double Wall Oven — 

We redid my parents kitchen with all GE products.  GE side by side refrigerator, GE double wall oven, GE dishwasher.  None of them have made it to the 5 year mark without needing MAJOR repairs i.e. the electrical panel of the double oven, the compressor of the refrigerator, the water lines of the dishwasher.

When I called GE for help they said basically, "too bad" the refrigerator was 3 weeks over the manufacturers warranty - in other words GE doesn't think you should get more than 5 years out of your product?

GE ovens had been recalled due to the heat from the oven burning out the electrical panels but they said ours was not included in the recall even though it was having the same issue.

We will never buy GE again!  The appliances are not good and the customer service is non-existant.

I purchased a GE Wall oven and it does not work like it should I fought with Sears and GE for two years than just gave up But when the refrigator shelves kept falling and the light bulb went out the the micovave oven ( I was told I could not replace the bulb I needed to get a "repairman" to come and replace it at a cost of over $100.00) and trying to do holiday bakingi in an oven not working correcly I thought I would try one more time to talk to these people..
Well the short story is the engineers say it was engineered correctly so it works...never mind the fact that it does not WORk !! Well it works on paper so it should work in life... I could not get Wendy Freeman (the person I was trying to deal with) to understand it is works on paper it may not work in life...Everyone I have spoken to over the years are so thick headed....... OH!!! and now she tells me I did not complain about this when the oven was new .....I have emails to prove I did but she in intrested in my paper only the engineers paper......I am spreading the word DO NOT BUY GE!!!!!!
A Very disappointed customer....
