I purchased this GE chest freezer when I realized that my side by side is too small.
We have a family of 5 and this is perfect for the extra bread and when I find a sale on meat.
I wanted something that would allow me extra space but not too big where I loose track of what I have. I thought if the food goes bad I'm not saving any money on wasting food.
I did look at the 7cu. size but I think this is a better deal and makes me rotate my food.
I divided up left side older food, right side newer purchases.
It works for us.
The chest is colder than an upright since the temp does not change when it's opened...

I fell in love the my GE Chest Freezer the moment I got it. It holds the perfect amount of freezer foods for my family. The price of the freezer was great. Its small and can fit in small aeras. I have not had one once of trouble with this little freezer, as I call it.
It was easy to move around if I need to to accomdate my garage. It has a small bassket for the bagged frozen foods and a small half self at the bottom of the freezer. Also it is frost free never have to defrost which is great also. It holds one and half dear meat after deer season which my family loves.

I just got a GE chest freezer and love it, i bought it because it was cheap and it freezes real good ,low matinees on it , it has a five year warrant on it ,it has auto defrost, a light on front to let you know its working, it is small so it don't take up much room i have a small kitchen and it fits real good in it.I bragged about it so much to my friends that they went and bought one but theirs is bigger sense they have more people in their home.the only thing i don't like about it is my grand kids can open it.
Wow, I bought this little freezer about a year ago at my local Wal-Mart. I was really impressed with the size as well with the price. It is amazing how much stuff this little sucker will hold. I really loved the piece of mind that G.E. had a one year warranty on it too. It has been a really good freezer and fortunally to this day nothing has torn up on it. And thats saying alot these days. I would recomend this little frezer to anyone who is short on space, but doesn't want to sacrfice there storage room or there pocket books.
We were thinking about buying a freezer about a year ago and our neighbor gave us this one. It's the perfect size and it freezes well. I was amazed with the amount of food it can hold!
We are in a rural area and when winter comes, we can't always get to the store, so I stock up on food and fill the freezer!
I would recommend this freezer to everyone!
