I love my GE dishwasher, it has been a wonderful upgrade from prior GE Profile. The GE, can't be heard when running, in any cycle. I have used them all to test, so very happy with this, and notification bell when complete. The 3rd row is great, I wasn't sure if really needed, but I place all travel mug lids, tupper wear lids, and smaller items, and they remail in tack completely, no more falling to bottom and melting on the heating element. The top rack being adjustable has been an other added bonus, I cook a lot so to be able to place large pots, casserole dishes and such and be able to lift the top rack to adjust is just amazing. the bottom rack as the adjustable tines that will lay down so you can transform the bottom rack to hold any size item in position to maximize cleaning, and it remains in place, which is again wonderful considering glass items no longer are placed on their side and hold water in them, so when you get to putting it up you have a water line on the glassware. My wine glasses come out beautifully. The touch pad which is hidden when the dishwasher is closed is great as well, plus it notifies you when rinse aid is low, and shows clearly the cycle you are using and what is being brought into play while using this cycle. We love LG, and as the appliances are going in our house we are replacing them all with GE. I do hope this helps.

This dishwasher works well, but I have had many different problems with each replacement and eventually I just gave up having my apartment manager order replacements and had her just order a different model by a new brand. While GE is normally a great alternative for low income homes and families, the newer models are less effective, easily broken, and do not clean and sanitize as well as they do in the old models. With this specific model I have had many problems. First time this one was installed, it leaked water all over my kitchen and flooded the whole main part of my apartment, my rugs had to torn up and replaced and my downstairs neighbor had some flooding from it too. after that one was replaced we assumed it was just a fluke and wouldn't happen again so we got the same model. About a month after having it replaced it started to make an awful clanking noise every time it was running so we had to replace it yet again. The last time we replaced it, about three months ago, it worked for two and a half months and then door broke off completely without anyone touching it, while it was running. All in all this model really just isn't worth having.

Overall, I would rate this dishwasher as a nine out out ten stars. It is very hip and modern, and it meets all of your needs. It gets the job done in a very short amount of time. You can most certainly, without a doubt, notice a drastic difference in the quality of your clean dishes when you use this household appliance, rather than your average standard dishwasher. This is an excellent product! Noise Level There is virtually no noise that you hear whenever you use this dishwasher, which is a huge plus! I am always having to study for school after I clean, and this dishwasher makes that an easy task for me to conquer, because it never makes any loud noises! Cleaning Time This dishwasher gets your dishes clean in a very timely manner. I can do a few simple tasks in my home, and in what seems like no time at all, my dishes are done and ready to be put away! Loading Flexibility The flexibility of this product is very good. You can put a lot of dishes in it. Performance This machine performs very well. Design I love the sleek, bold design of this machine. Durability This is a very durable product!

I love my GE Profile stainless steel dishwasher! It is a great appliance and worth every penny that we paid for it. If I had to buy another dishwasher I would buy this one all over again. I love the look of it and it works great too (which is the most important thing)! I love the fact that it doesn't have buttons on the front.I love the front sleek handle. The operating buttons are on the top so the dishwasher looks sleek,neat and modern. It kind of makes you wonder where the dishwasher is! It is so quiet and efficent.Sometimes I have to stick my ear to the dishwasher to make sure that it is running! The dishwasher is easy to load, easy to use and gets dishes clean in a snap! I would highly recommend this dishwasher to anyone who needs a new one or is just looking to upgrade thier kitchen. It is a great product! And considering what you are getting the price is not that bad either.

GE Profile is quit, very easy to load.  As a family of 4 the GE Profile can handle a days of dishes, cooking  ware easy.  All the noise of washing is absorbed into the machine.  One can hear a  little noise when dishwasher is going from one cycle to another.  As this is helpful for me as I'm always finding a glass or plate to add to the load.

This is the best dishwasher I've ever used! It works so well, and the controls are so easy to work! I've had dishwashers break on me after only a couple uses, look hideous, and just never got the job done. This does NONE of those things! It hasn't broken once since I bought it, and boy has it been used over and over and OVER! It seems like it is running constantly with a household of six or more people on a daily basis! And it looks as fabulous as the day I bought it! I love the way it fits in with everything I own! It's beautiful! It really is! And it always gets the job done! I never once have to look at crusty food residue on my dishes ever again! They sparkle and shine like the day I bought them! I never have any problems with this dishwasher! I always get complimented on how well it goes with my kitchen, too! And people can't believe what I paid for it, either! What a bargain! If you plan on buying a dishwasher, this is the way to go!!

My husband and I had been searching for a new dishwasher after updating our kitchen. We did our research and decided to purchase the GE Profile. So far it's been a dream! We have been able to clean our dishes very effictivly and not seen any increase in our utility costs. It is powerful enough to clean dishes without the hassle of prewashing. It's design is quiet and very space friendly. I believe that this machine has saved me tons of time after dinners and meals. Instead of rinsing and miticulously stacking dishes I am  not able to throw them in and be on with my day, spending time with my family. The installation was a bit tricky, but I believe some of that fault lies within us since we tired to do it unassisted as first timers. I'm sure that anyone that knows what they are doing would be able to figure this installation out a lot quicker than we did. I would buy this machine again in a heartbeat! It is a great new addition to our family and lifestyle.

The GE Profile PDW1800 Built-in Dishwasher has exceeded my expectations.  The first couple of times we ran it we had to listen up close to make sure it was running because it is so quiet.  The instructions told us to put the dishes in without rinsing first and everything came out clean without water spots.  I have recommended it to many friends and will continue to do so.

I chose to purchase the GE dishwasher because it is very quiet. It is not noisy so I can use it at night while everyone is sleeping. This is a big deal since I am always washing clothes, cars or have a shower running during the day. It doesn't make loud woosh or gurgle noises and everyone can sleep without a problem. Nobody even knows that the dishwasher has been running. It seems to be more energy efficient and power saving than the models I have used in the past years. It looks very nice. It has a sleek design that blends in with my modern kitchen. It is not too bulky or tacky.

I wanted a dishwasher that was very, very quiet, energy efficient, and had several settings from which to choose. I got all that, and overall, I'm pleased with the product now that we have one that isn't damaged/broken. HOWEVER, it took a delivery of FOUR - count 'em - FOUR dishwashers delivered to our new home before one was delivered without a dent, deep scratch, or in one case, the entire door fell off before the dishwasher was completely uncrated from its carton. We learned, after having opened the first two boxes, to insist that the delivery person open the carton in our presence and if it wasn't satisfactory, we would REFUSE it and they would have to return it to the retailer.  Bottom line:  if you are purchasing a dishwasher for delivery, you MIGHT want to choose a GE, but certainly check out other brands. Definitely check the delivered item out completely before the delivery person leaves your home. Many other brands are equally as quiet and efficient as the GE Profile PDW 1800. Having owned all GE appliances since 1979, I can say that the quality of GE appliances has gone downhill and the appliances are having to be replaced or repaired more often.
