I never thought that using a slow cooker would become one of my favorite kitchen appliances since I am a casual cooker and don't like spending too much time in the kitchen. As a busy working mom, there are times when I wish I could just close my eyes, reopen them and find dinner ready. Unfortunately with this not being the case, I just love to use this cooker which allows me to put the food to cook before I head out to work and then come home to tender meat and cooked vegetables for dinner. The time I save is what makes it the best for my schedule. When I get home the food is basically ready and I have to do is add whatever other item I wish to eat with my meat and vegetables or just serve my family as is. I am not afraid to leave it on because I find it to be safe and extremely easy to use. I have definitely told my friends and family about how content I am with my slow cooker and I have recommended they get their own because the time you can save in cooking allows a family more time together. I will also say that I recommend any and every busy mom and dad to get one and see how much easier the cooking life becomes.

When I was growing up my mom had a GE Double Bowl Slow Cooker. I always made fun of her because it had a horrible aged design on the outside. I never appreciated the device until it was handed down to me. Who cares about the ugly design, this thing was awesome! My favorite part of this was being able to cook two separate items if I chose. Slow cookers are extremely versatile but this one is even MORE versatile. This would be great for families with fussy eaters because you could make two meals at once. The food tastes amazing when it is done. I love being able to just toss some items in and then walk away until it is time for dinner. This is also handy if you are serving food buffet style for a party or something. Sadly, I dropped my slow cooker and broke it. I have yet to find another double one! Design The design on the outside of the cooker looks like something your 90 year old grandmother would like. Durability My mother had this for a number of years before I got it. Sadly, I dropped the item and broke it beyond repair.

This Double Bowl Slow Cooker is so unique and cute. I love that I can make vegetable soup in one side while slow cooking meat on the other side. It's amazing. It's easy to clean. It cooks everything to perfect, the meat all the way through, and keep soup nice and warm. It's perfect.

I have had this for years and use it constantly. It is big enough to hold a roast and all the trimming, but works just as well when I'm only cooking a cup of dried beans. The best smell in the world is coming home after a long day and the house smells like someone has been slaving all day in the kitchen and your dinner is ready. And after dinner the best part is the crock is removable and fits in my dishwasher.

I love my GE 6-Quart Double Bowl Slow Cooker.  I've had it for several years and use it at least weekly. It is sturdy and well made. I love the ease of use and  the huge capacity. I use it for everyday meals and also for large holiday buffets.  The slow cooker can be put on a high or low setting for cooking. So many things can be made in a slow cooker!  It also offers versatility to keep warm a large quantity of food such as meatballs on a buffet table.  I've lent this to many friends for that purpose.  The double bowl is also a great feature for a buffet.  The ge slow cooker comes apart easily for cleaning.  The large ceramic bowl can even be placed in the dishwasher.  From simple to fancy, food cooked in the slow cooker always comes out delicious.  You can't go wrong with this slow cooker.  It will save you time and energy and it always makes a yummy meal. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a slow cooker.

5 years ago, when I got married, I put a Crock Pot on my registry.  I will admit, I was severely disappointed when I opened the package and found a Crock Pot, but not the one I wanted.  I kept it and worked with it.  Oh, how I now LOVE my GE 6 Quart Double Bowl slow cooker!  When I first saw it, I couldn't help to think, What am I going to do with a double bowl? 5 years later, I figured it out.  First of all, I make it a point to use my GE slow cooker almost every day of the week during the winter.  There are so many things you can make.  Meatloafs, soups, stews, etc.  You can even melt chocolate.  Yes friends... I even melted chocolate with my double bowl.  I added water to the crock, turned the heat up to high and then added the chocolate chips to the metal bowls to dip pretzels.  I'm sure I am not the first to figure this out, but I am finding you can use the slow cooker for just about anything! Onto the product itself, the crock is very easy to clean.  A little soap and water is all you need.  As I said before, this item is 5 years old and has been used literally hundreds of times without fail.  I store the leftovers in the crock.  All I do is wait until it has cooled and then put it in the fridge.  How easy is that!

One year for Christmas my husband bought me a 6 quart GE slow cooker.  I truly was disappointed that it was so BIG.  I thought of slow cookers as those little upright pots that you have to turn on its side to clean it outside of the water.  I am pleased to say I gave it a try and I love it!  My slow cooker is my best friend in the kitchen.  I use it for everything and the best part is that it is BIG, I can put a whole meal in this and I don't have to worry about a cut of meat being to big to fit.  I also LOVE that the "crock" is removable and I can take it out and wash it!  I use those wonderful little crock pot liners but it still makes it so much easier to wash it by putting it in the water instead of laying it on its side like my mother always did.  GE needs to be commended.  My husband and I have now been married for over 10 years and my GE 6 quart slow cooker is still perking along as if it were new!!

I would not want to trade my slow cooker! This crock has a lid latch, (a white band)which secures the cover while moving or transporting the slow cooker.  Easy to use. This cooker has a capacity of 6 quarts;  you do not want to fill it to the brim. (5 qts would be sufficient). The control knob offers low and high temperature  settings for cooking, and a warm setting for keeping your food at a perfect temperature for serving. The crock is removable and easy to clean; can also be popped in the dishwasher. The Double Bowl crock offers 2 different cooking methods: the conventional slow cook method or cook with the 'bowls in the crock' method; also you can cook 2 recipes at once. You add water to the crock, and then insert the 2 bowls. This is a faster method of cooking and not at all like the conventional slow cooker. If you have never used a slow cooker , you will find it is an easy way to cook: you can put your food in the cooker and go off to work with dinner being ready when you return. For me, a slow cooker is an absolute necessity!
