When we remodeled our kitchen, we purchased all new stainless steel appliances. We decided to go with GE appliances, and really wanted a slide-in range but they cost a little more than we wanted to spend. We ended up stumbling upon this GE range as a floor model so it was discounted a fair amount. We were very excited and decided to make the purchase. We have been thrilled with the quality of the range. It does an excellent job of heating evenly, and cooking/baking things perfectly. My only complaint is that the only way I can get it so there are no streaks on the stainless steel portion is to use olive oil. Regular cleaners get very streaky. This bothers me a bit, but is to be expected since it is stainless steel.
