Did an ok job but smoked sometimes.

3

This food processor worked ok at getting things pulsed but not very good at shredding things. It also smoked a few times after use. It was very bulky and I did not like that. It was very hard to store. The things I did like were the colors of it. It had nice suction cups on the bottom that worked VERY well. I liked that the top was clear. I did find out that there was a recall on the one I had so I did end up taking it back do to the smoking. That was what the recall had been for. I chose not to use the refund money to buy a new one. I just wasn't that impressed with it. Power It had reasonable power but smoked when being used sometimes. Safety The suction cups on the bottom of the food processor made it safe as to not fall off of the counter but it was kinda hard to get the blades out of the processor safely and the blades were VERY sharp. Ease of Assembly It was not too bad too assemble but hard to dis assemble Ease of Cleaning Food would get stuck in the creases making it hard to clean. Durability It did an ok amount of things just not very well.

Okay for chopping and shredding

3

I got this over a year ago. While it is good for chopping I mainly wanted it for dough making . is also a bulky machine (to use it on a daily basis) and the plastic dough blade is not a good quality. My first blade snapped, it had a big crack and was useless. I did not get a manual with it and could not use the slicer / french fry disk. I now use the metal chopper blade to make dough. Power Runs well. Fast and efficient Safety Safety wise it is good, motor shuts off if lid is not secure. Ease of Assembly It is a simple thing, not really rocket science and is similar to any other FP you get in the market Durability My dough blade cracked within the first few weeks, got a replacement, but I use it VERY carefully, in fat mostly use the chopper blade to make dough

i recieved this GE food processor for a birthday gift. i am not one to like big and bulking things,  but this GE food proscessor is really nice.  it stores nicely with all the parts being able to fit right inside the processor.  there are these really cool suction cups on the bottom of the of the processor so that the processor  does not move. then there is this handy dandy clips on the bottom to wind the cord up with.  the blades are very sharp watch out because my husband cut his finger just opening up the processor. i have not had any problems with this product, i mostly just make cole slaw and chop things. it seems to to be easy to clean up and use. it doesn't it take rocket science to figure out how to use this GE food processor, very easy to use. it does hold a lot of food. it has two different size openings to put the food in. i would recommend this GE food processor to any and all looking for a great product.

works great for making your own baby food

5

I bought this GE 14 cup food processor for my husband last Christmas.  We wanted to make our own baby food for our son and needed something with a large capacity and powerful. We also like the stainless steel and black colors of the processor as it matches our other small appliances.  It has several different cutting blades; it will chop, dice and slice.  We've used it to slice cucumbers, potatoes and onions.  It also has a way to feed in the food or liquid (depending on what you're making) through the top while it's running.  The 14 cup capacity was great for making baby food.  We would steam a large bag of carrots, green beans, peas, etc. and then just dump it all into the processor.  It was nice to not have to break it up into smaller portions. It is also easy to clean, each part can be disassembled.  It does have to be washed by hand, but we would normall rinse something like this off before putting it in the dishwasher anyways, so it really only takes a couple more seconds to wipe it down.  Great product! Safety One day I thought it had stopped working. I out my food in, put the lid on and pushed start but nothing happened. I hadn't clicked the bowl and lid into place. It was nice to know that it would work if not properly secured into place Ease of Cleaning We just put all the parts in the top rack of the dishwasher

The GE Food Processor Mod169203 gets the job done

4

The GE Food Processor Model 169203 is a handy appliance to have. I used the dough blade to cut in butter to make pastry dough.  I was pleasantly surprised at the results.  It can handle the volume. I had some concerns because it does bounce around when the dough is too dry. But the suction cups held it nicely. Besides the chopper and dough blades, there is a grate blade that is handy for grating a variety of items including blocks of cheese. Careful to follow directions on grating cheeses. The only negatives I have are that the flour gets under the blade making it necessary to clean the base as well as the bowls.  The handle on the bowl does not seal water tight either, allowing water to stand in the handle.  I left it out to air dry and that worked, but there isn't any quick clean up and return to storage. The price makes this a very smart choice for anybody that wants the added help for chopping, shredding and kneading without the high price of a fancier model. It gets the job done!

Love,Love, Love this food processor!

I received this food processor as a gift from my parents when I was pregnant last year. They thought I would use it to make baby food. Well they were right! This machine is so easy to use, it makes buying premade baby food unnecessary. This machine is very heavy duty, and I love the suction cup feet that keep it in one place on the counter. It chops through carrots, apples, and every other type of challenge that I have given it with no trouble whatsoever. It comes with several different blades as well as a grater, so the possible uses are endless. I make breadcrumbs and grate cheese in no time with it. I would absolutely recommend this to any new mom out there for baby food, or to any cook who's looking for a powerful food processor.

Returned this product the same week

I received this food processer as a Christmas gift. I was so excited to try it out, so I decided to puree some raspberry to fill cupcakes. First off, it was a pain to get together. I originally didn't have everything locked in place correctly, so the food processer wouldn't even start. Finally, my husband was able to get it ready for me. I put the ingredients in and pressed pulse. The lid was on correctly, but apparently there were some cracks or holes because raspberry puree went flying everywhere. And it didn't even puree the raspberries like it was supposed! So I was covered in raspberries and they weren't even pureed enough for cupcakes. I decided to return this food processor and buy a different brand. One of my main reasons for wanting this food processor was because there are so many buttons and options. You can press pulse to puree things yourself, but there's also a timed option if you just want to let it run.

The GE 14-Cup Digital Food Processor is a BIG HELPER!

**This was my first food processor purchase, and I do A LOT of cooking. It's a passion of mine and I cannot believe how much easier this machine makes my life! I love the shredded/slicer attachment, but beware - I sliced my pinky finger pretty well while cleaning. And I was being careful. The blades are VERY sharp, so make sure NO CHILDREN are EVER around this thing. I mainly use this to chop nuts and mix pie dough, but there are so many uses for this. The only complaints I have are the clean up and when using the food shoot with cheese and the shredded attachment, the cheese gets stuck between the blade and the shoot. While cleaning it, there are a few nooks and crannies that deem stubborn to get the food out of, but overall, it was worth every penny spent! I even talked my sister into buying the same one. I love the size of the "bowl" too at a 14 cup capacity. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a helping hand in the kitchen!**

GE Digital Food Processor is great!

4

I received the GE Digital Food Processor as a Christmas present from my Husband and I love it! I was especially excited to see thatit came with a cheese grater because we go through a lot of cheese since it is one of the few things my picky 2 year old will eat! I have to say I was disappointed though when I actually tried to use it. I put the block of cheese in the feed tube and turned it on and it grated most of it and the last chunk just flew around. It made a huge mess! But the rest of the features are great and it does and awesome job ! I was glad to see that there are suction cups on the bottom to keep the processor in place when you are mixing dough. It has a 14 cup bowl so you are able to put a good size amount of whatever you are making inside. I love the appearance as well because it matches the rest of my kitchensince it is black and stainless steal! I would definately recommend this food processor to anyone!

GE 14 Cup Digital Food Processor

4

After I specifically told my boyfriend, "No more kitchen gadgets", his mom and step-dad called to see what I would like for Christmas. They asked specifically about a food processor and because my boyfriend wanted one, I got it. And I'm grateful for it. We've been really happy with this food processor. It cleans up easily and the three options are great. I also love the timer option; you can hit 30, 60 or 90 seconds and just let it go. No double checking, no constant stop and start. We've been able to try a lot of new recipes because of this processor and couldn't be happier with the results.
