We have had it for years and used every morning. I always cleaned it by breaking it all apart manually. I used the clean button to see how well it would do and now the button is stuck on. It gets half way through a pot of coffee and stops. I've unplugged it and replugged it 5 times to reset it and it's still on. NOT HAPPY about this at all. I have a big family and a new coffee pot is not on the need to buy agenda list at the moment. Ease of Cleaning Button is stuck but very easy to take apart and clean manually.

I bought this coffe maker in Feb.2012 and loved the brew and ease of use. It gave us no problems until June of 2012. the kitchen was full of smoke and a hot smell coming from the back o the coffee maker. The store will not replace so now I need another coffee maker. Very disappointed as I thought it would at least last a year. We must have our morning brew. would not recomment this product.

we bought this GE digital coffee maker in january when the one we had quit working.i would have opted for a less expensive model, but my husband wanted this one.  It features programmable time start, which i really wanted, a cleaning cycle, which i thought i would really love, a water filter, which I think does improve the coffee quality, and a 'time since brew' button, which i have never used.  the buttons are 'soft', and sometimes hard to push, since i have arthritic hands.  the cleaning cycle on this coffee maker turns on and off to give the cleaning solution time to cycle through and to sit in the coffee maker, and takes about an hour to do. it does a very good job of cleaning.   the problem is that the cleaning button has apparently stuck in the "on" position, so that it can take an hour to brew a pot of coffee.  the only solution is to turn the coffee maker off, then back on, sometimes 3 or 4 times.  sometimes the coffee cycles through with no problem, but this is a very aggravating coffee maker.

I really LOVED the look and price of this coffee maker. When I was getting ready to move in to my first home, I was having to buy all the appliances for the new house. When I saw this coffee maker and the price, I grabbed it. It looked exactly how I wanted my coffee machine to look and was a great price. It worked fine in that it made the coffee great but it leaked from day 1. As the coffee was making, water would come out of somewhere and leave a pool at the back of the machine. I put up with this inconvenience because I loved how it matched my other appliances. After only 6 months use, part way through brewing, it would beep like it had finished brewing the whole pot when in fact it had only brewed 2 cups. So I'd have to turn it off and back on again. It would then do another 2 cups, beep and sit there. Running it through the cleaning mode didn't even help and after putting up with the inconvenience of having to keep switching it back on, we replaced it.

I bought this coffeemaker at walmart a couple of years ago. I love that it has the time to clean light/button to let you know when it's time to clean your coffee maker. This also is a very easy one to operate. The buttons are very basic and self explanitory. I'm not sure I've ever even needed to review the instruction manual to set or reset (after a power outage) the programed start option. I like that this coffee maker offers the changable water filter. I'm not so sure about our water, and I like to know that it's been filtered before I make my coffee out of it. It saves a step. I also like that it has an auto shut off feature. Often when I'm running around the house getting ready in the morning I forget to turn off the coffee pot. This one I never have to worry about. I'm into the blue lights on the display, very modern design. And the reusable grounds basket is an awesome option and works well. to the regular paper filter. eco friendly!

You do not want to be around my husband and I if we don't get in a couple of cups of good coffee in the morning.  Or we don't want to be around you.  Either way the point is we love our coffee in this house.  We purchased our first GE-12 Cup Digital Coffee maker together.  So we both agreed on it, we both loved all of it's features.  The screen across the front of the coffee-pot is easy and big enough to read, I can set the timer and have the house smelling like freshed brewed coffee as we are getting up out of bed, it has the pause and serve feature which is also a favorite around here, the coffee stays hot for quite a while, it has a built in filter - so your not having to buy the paper ones all the time, it turns off automatically if I run out of the house and forget to turn it off and I also like the fact that it has a easy to read digital clock.  A lot of great "stuff" right?  You can imagine my frustration at 4 a.m.  when it just quits working, after about 4 months of use.  We did enjoy this coffee maker so much that we purchased another one, thinking we just happened to get a dud.  So when only another 2 months pass and the second one just quits working (also at 4am), that was it.  I went and bought a cheaper one and it has been with us now, without any problems for over a year now.  I would not recommend this coffee pot, unless you like to take chances with your morning coffee!  I am just grateful we live so close to a 24hr. department store, or those could have been some ugly mornings.

 Irecently purchased the GE 12 cup Digital Coffee Maker about a month ago. This coffee maker had a extended 1 year warrenty .The price was reasonable. I like the programable clock that is on this coffee maker. It also has the automatic shut off that you can change from thirty minutes to one hundered twenty minutes because I am the worst about forgetting to turn it off, but with this option I do not need to worry about it  because if iI forget it will turn its self off. So far the only problem I have with this model is the filter basket, it allows some if the fine coffee grounds to pass thru and they end up in the last cup of coffee. It also has  a cleaning alert that tell you when it is time to clean the system. It also has a setting for making gourmet coffees which i have not used yet. This coffee maker brews the coffee fast so if you are in a hurry you do not have to wait for your morning cup. I would recommend this product if you are in the market for a new coffee maker

WE purchased this coffeemaker to replace a Hamilton Beach coffeemaker. We had it for three months when things started to go wrong. First, it would stop half-way through the brewing process, but when you hit the start button again it would finish. We cleaned the coffeemaker. Ran it through it's cycle again and all was well for about a week, now it stops several times throughout the cycle. We need to hit the start button about 5-6 times to get one pot of coffee. We are looking for a replcement and it won't be another GE.

This coffee pot is wonderful. Not only does it include a timer but it has a setting to clean itself. It has a setting for gourmet coffee. The only problem I seem to have is setting the pot up for the next day I set it and have to make it in the morning
