Futurama the Movie: Bender's Big Score Review Summary

Fans of the television series Futurama on Fox are sure to enjoy Futurama the Movie: Bender's Big Score. All the same charaters are back, again being voiced by Billy West, Katey Segal, John Di Maggio, and Tress MacNeille. With Futurama now being canceled, sharp viewers want us to notice that the film takes a few "digs at Fox for canceling the show." Seeing the show that they'd been missing since it was cancelled, fans find watching the straight to video Bender's Big Score, that it was "well worth the wait" with the hopes that this might soon be a "cult classic" with three other movies being promised from the team at some point. The extras on the DVD include a live reading on stage of the script. Another Fox animated series, The Simpsons, was made into a movie recently as well.

Movie is pretty good, the extras are amazing!

The movie was pretty good, kinda predicable plot, but lots of extra jokes and background stuff make it well worth it for those paying attention.  Watch the opening scene carefully for the digs at Fox for canceling the show in the first place.  In the extras, you can listen to a similar scene from a convention (Comic-Con?) where the actors did a reading on stage.  It is extreamly funny.  Another great one is "Everyone Loves HypnoToad".  Take the time to watch it, after a while little stuff will happen, and it is so stupid you may find yourself rolling off the couch with laugher.

I couldn't believe it when i first heard over a year ago that futurama was coming back, and waited on pins and needles for this release, and what can i say other then it was well worth the wait.  the gang is back and better then ever.  From the professor with his doomsday devices, to the harlem globe trotters and their funky arithmetic, all of our favorite characters are back and  have brought with them the performance of a lifetime.  all we can hope for is that the rest of the movies can hold up to this standard of greatness.  the special feature section was packed with greatness as well. ... review »

The return of a show and the movie to be a cult classic.

The show Futurama has been a great show that didn't have a long run like its creator's other shows (The Simpsons) but the return of it in movie format has made many new and old fans of the show alone due to the repeats shown on Cartoon Network's late night programming called Adult Swim.

The movie itself has all the favorite characters and still keeps it humor from the previous shows and series along with adding some new flavor to the movie with it being not rated on dvd.  Even though this movie was the one of four that is said to be coming out down the line, this movie alone has set it up to see... review »

For those fans of the series, this is a middle finger.  The story was very hard to follow from about the halfway point.  It thankfully had the original cast, but the story and plot sucked.
