best cat brush, worth every penny

a cat lover, concerned w/safety & comfort of my pets, willing to pay more for quality, multiple cat owner, very happy with this product

Pros

removes an amazing amount of fur, cat does not mind being brushed, it really does reduce sheding

Cons

more expensive than the average comb, need to be extra careful cats don't chew, takes about 1/2 hour to get all the fur

When I adopted my oldest cat I was immediatly overwhelmed by the amount of fur that he managed to leave everywhere he went. I could not even pet him without large chunks coming off of him and covering me and wherever I was sitting. I saw this item in my local pets store but was not certain that I wanted to spend that much money (around $35 depending on the store) for a cat brush, given that I had never had a brush that went that far and above it's competitors to warrant such a price jump. After weeks of desparation, reading amazing reviews and constant reminders from the pet store associate that they allow returns of items you are not happy with I finally gave in. The first day I sat my cat down and brushed him I filled a plastic grocery store bag with all the fur I was able to remove. It did take a while but my cat did not seem to mind too much. Afterwards I was amazed I was able to pet him without feeling as though by the end I have as much fur as he does. The reviews I had read were true, the FURminator really is worth every penny. A few weeks later I went back to the store and purchased the shampoo which when used with the brush practically ended his sheding all together.
