Inexpensive, Unbreakable (so far), easy ammunition, No lost darts, etc., Not dangerous

Cons

Potato sometimes gets stuck, Not an indoor toy.

Funantics Toys Potato Gun —

We got these for our boys (6, 7) for Christmas. What great fun! Potatoes are cheap ammunition, which you don't need to retrieve later! How many times have you heard, "Mom, I lost my darts! Can you help me find them?" These are safe, no one will put an eye out or injure anyone with these little chunks of potato. The only things that are even a little bit bad about these so far is that they are not an inside toy - I don't want to find rotten, moldy chunks of potato behind the furniture - and sometimes the potato "bullets" get stuck in the end of the barrel. Ah well, not bad at 2 guns for $5 and a 10# bag of potatoes for even less. These are a keeper.
