The Fuji S3000 was my second digital camera, which I have had for 3 years. It takes excellent pictures. The Fuji color sensor is outstanding. The camera is a 3.2mpx camera. I have printed 8x10 photos with good results. The camera has many neat features, including exposure adjustment, white balance adjustment, and scene selection. Ofcourse the Auto mode works just fine. It does have trouble focusing in low light. I recently upgraded to a Fuji S6000fd because I like theFuji color technology so much. Highly recommended.

We bought this camera to take with us to our honeymoon.  I was so happy with the pictures and the ease of use of this camera.   The zoom is amazing.  The clarity of the pictures is devine.  I like that it can change from color to black and white photos.

It is a great camera when using the zoom. It has 6x the optical zoom. It only has 3.2 megapixels which is probably why many of the pictures doesn't come out as clearly as they should. It is a big camera but it isn't heavy. It is difficult to understand how to use the features on the camera. There is no macro or micro feature to take closeups of something. It does drain batteries pretty quickly. It needs stronger batteries which cost a lot of money. Overall it is a good starter camera. I'm actually looking into getting a new camera with a better mexgapixel, zoom and features.

This camera, the Fujifilm Finepix S3000 was my first digital camera, and while it still works great to this day, newer cameras leave the Fujifilm in the dust. This is a entry-level camera, so you may not find all of the menu features that are an option on modern digital cameras. But the S3000 does have several pluses going for it. First off, it has an excellent optical zoom, an 8x. This means that you can zoom in on far off objects with NO loss in picture quality. the zoom comes at a price however, since this camera is quite bulky and will defintely not fit in the pocket. If you can get used to it hanging on the neck, then you will be OK. Fujifilm also has many cameras that use the xD picture card format, which is honestly the least used of all digital camera card standards. This camera also has a tendency to eat up those AA batteries, which it uses four of at a time. I still use this camera, but much less than before I had a camera phone - due to portability issues.

When I went shopping for a camera I needed one that would be able to take shots near or far and also take very close, close ups.  It's exactly what I needed.  I'm not a photographer and mainly needed the camera for taking pictures of things I sell online.  This camera is perfect for me.  It takes very good pictures and is awesome at close ups of details. Theses are things about it that don't bother me but some people may not like.  It has a movie function that has no sound.  When you take a picture the lens is slow.  The lens cap is prone to falling off.  It goes through batteries like there's no tomorrow (I use the AC adaptor when I'm uploading pictures to my computer). All in all, for me, it's a great camera and does exactly what I need it for but for someone that wants action shots, get a different camera.

This camera does it's job but it's too big to pop in your pocket or purse. I miss out on a lot of great photo opportunities because it's too big to carry it everywhere. It has 6x Zoom which is less than many current cameras available. 3.34 megapixels were a lot when this came out in 1993. Not now. I would have liked the camera to have a charging unit. This camera goes through AA batteries like crazy. Bottom line, I was happy with the S3000 when I recieved it (though even then I did not like the big size). Now, it is time to get me a new compact camera I can take everywhere.

I have 2 of these cameras and I love them, they are easy to use and the pictures are vivid.  My mother has MS and needs a larger camera to hold, this one is not overly large, fits perfectly into your hand, and has a neck strap for easy carrying...  Basic controls which make it easy for the beginner.  I have only owned fuji camera's and this is the best one so far..

 I am not a professional photographer, but my husband takes beautiful pictures with this camera.  For me the pros for choosing this camera was stablility of holding it, taking consecutive pictures and the large  LCD screen.   The batteries last a long time, we took it on a week vacation, and took about 300 pictures and never had to change the batteries.  It is very lightweight and easy to handle.  You can use this camera manually or automatic.  It has alot of great functions and is very easy to use.    The only con that I can think of is it won't fit into a small camera case.    Overall an excellent purchase.
