Fujifilm - FinePix A805 Digital Camera---VERY DURABLE!

5

I received this camera for my birthday over three years ago which was a few months after my first child was born. I love to take pictures of my son and take tons of photos and videos. I feel like it is really easy to use and that the pictures have pretty good quality for an older camera. There are definitely sometimes fuzzy pictures that have to be deleted and it seems like the shooting modes don't make that much of a difference, but if you can hold your hands still, point a camera, and take a picture this is great for you. Other items: -there is no hole to look for when taking a picture, you just look at the screen. -I've dropped the camera and my husband crashed on his snowboard while taking video of me and landed on the camera, yet it still works great with no problems. -The SD card is in the same area as the batteries and is easily removed. -Batteries can be any AA variety. I use rechargeable KODAK batteries. Great camera, but probably out of date if you're wanting something new.

Not the best camera

I bought the Fuji Fine Pix A805 about 18 months ago.  This is the third digital camera I have owned, the other two being Canon's and I just don't feel that this one was very good.  It started out okay and I really didn't mind it.  However, I know have to have it on the SP setting all the time or I won't get a flash.  Also, a lot of my pictures are coming out blurry, which is so annoying.  Especially as I have little kids so I think I am getting this great shot, and it turns out blurry. I also feel like this camera does not do well in the dark outside.  We were in Europe and trying to get pictures of monuments at night, even it well-lit areas, was not going to happen.  One thing I do like about it is you can do an extra zoom.  So you put the camera on the zoom setting, then zoom the lens all the way out, and you can actually get some pretty decent pictures of things far away.  In conclusion, if you need an inexpensive camera, this may work, otherwise keep shopping around.

I dont have a lot of money so when i went looking for a digital camera i knew it had to be cheap and it had to last, i seen the fujifilm fine pix A 805 on sale, it was much cheaper then all the other ones around, i'm the type of person that likes to just jump into things with out reading the manuels so it took me a couple of days to figure everything out, i love the fact that you can make little movies clips with sound and you can down load it with out any problems, it comes with the cable to hook up to your computer, two batteries, you have to buy a memory card if you want more then 10 picuters. the zoom is unbelievable at first i thought the zoom wasnt all of that, until i read the instructions and found that i wasnt fully understanding the full capabillity of this small camera. it has a safty feature on it so you can lock what pictures you dont want to be deleted before you had a chance to down load them, it also has a n 8.3 mega pixel which is great
