Frontline Plus —

I have 2 Papillons, both females.  Eden is 3 and Bear is 1.  Eden has gotten at least a tick a year, even though we faithfully put the Frontline Plus on her each month -- on the same day of the month.  So far, Bear hasn't gotten any.  It is a bit costly for 2 dogs -- especially getting the Heartguard plus as well.

They both get mosquito bites too, as the mosquitoes are out quite a bit when we go for walks or they are playing in the back yard.

They both react badly to mosquito bites, and I have to get cortisone cream for them, and occasionally take them to the vet for a prednisone injection.  I wish this product worked better for mosquitos as well as for ticks.

This product seems to work well for fleas, but I wish it would work for mosquitoes and do a better job for ticks.  With long haired dogs, it is hard to always find the ticks.. but then their scratching and biting at it only pushes the tick in further.
