I have a 35 acre ranch which is home to different kinds of animals: domestic and wild. I decided to try Frontline to help minimize the effects of fleas, ticks, and mosquitos. I had previously used a different product which worked well but did not provide the mosquito protection that I was looking for: an important need for an area swarming with West Nile virus. Within two weeks I noticed my dogs and cats scratching more frequently so I checked them to see if they had a rash or reaction to something. Low and behold, the fleas and ticks were back in full force. Needless to say, I went back to my former product which also began providing the mosquito protection we needed. All this to say, Frontline may be a good product for some situations, but in our case it was unacceptably ineffective and cost more than our tried and true brand.
