With 9 cats (3 pets and 6 fosters) in the house at the moment, flea preventative can get really expensive very quickly. This summer I tried to take the cheap route by using BioSpot and Zodiac Spot-On flea treatments which were only about $5 per dose. Unfortunately neither of those products worked on our bionic fleas and I watched the cats scratch and chew themselves like it was their full-time job. Finally, I bit the bullet and ordered three 6-month packs of Frontline Plus for about $60 each. The two month supply for all of our cats cost almost $200. My husband was not happy when he...
read full review »For a while, we couldn't figure out what was wrong with our little cat Lorelei. She was scratching like crazy and even biting her own fur. The reason we didn't jump immediately to fleas was that our other cat George was totally fine. He wasn't scratching or biting even though Lorelei had been for an extended period (about a month and a half).
Please don't think me cruel for not rushing her to the vet immediately! I have grown up with animals, and like people, it isn't always beneficial to rush them to medical care and treatment when sometimes all they need is time to heal. My husband...
read full review »I have been useing Frontline-Plus for years, We live in an area where there is a lot of sand, a place fleas love. My animals get there treatment faithfully every month, as a results our animals have been flea free for years.
In the beginning, We had tried a varity of different flea products, mostly because of the cost. By the time we finished, we ended up spending more. No other product out there worked as good as Frontline-plus dose. Turned out it is a lot cheaper and smarter to spend that extra to get Frontline-Plus for your cats and dogs.
As we found out last year Frontline-Plus...
read full review »I have several animals and have tried lots of different flea preventers and treatments and out of all of them, this is the only one I have found that works. Its 100% effective and would recommend it to anyone. My one cat has flea allergies and one bite from a flea and he is losing his hair and just looks awful. So when he aquired a flea problem, I tried everything to get rid of them. Finally my vet recommended frontline. We treated him at the vet and by the time I got him home almost all the fleas he had were dead. By the next day they were ALL gone and he was already starting to look better. Since...
read full review »I got my first car a couple months ago and had no idea the costs I would incur by having a pet. My little kitty was a rescue so she had to go to the vet immediately and get all of her shots and tests. While I was there, the vet recommended that I use Frontline every month for flea and tick prevention. I picked up a three month supply while I was there and after I gave her her first treatment, it started working about 24 hours later. We have a minature pincher too...and you definitely have to make sure both animals are treated around the same time to make sure the medicine works the best it can....
read full review »I was pretty dissapointed with this product. Frontline Plus didn't kill my cat's fleas. What it DID do was cause them to gather around her head and neck area, above where the medication was applied. If anything, it made it easier to remove the fleas with a comb.
A few months after we stopped using Frontline Plus for our cat, the Petsmart in town took it off the shelves. According to them, the fleas had built up an immunity to it. That would explain why it didn't work for us.
