Let's face it--everyone loves potato chips!  They taste good, but they aren't good for you.  Sun Chips were introduced on the market a couple of years ago and since that time, we pick them up 8/10 times when we buy chips.  Why?  They taste great and they are better for you than traditional potato chips.

Sun Chips Originals

Sun Chips Originals have a fresh and wholesome flavor.  They taste good, and are made of quality ingredients.  They have more "natural" ingredients, making them a healthy alternative to the traditional greasy potato chips on the market.

Sun Chips Originals are made of multi-grain...

Prelude:

After becoming a big fan of the French Onion Flavor Sun Chips, and they were so delicious, I thought I would give the Original Flavor a try. I was curious to see if they really were delicious, or the yummy french onion flavor was helping matters. I am a big fan of plain flavored products, and was up to the challenge.

The scoop:

Guess what? They are good! Great, even! I actually prefer them to the flavored ones. They are crunchy, and delicious. Not overpowering, but packed with flavor all on thier own! They have more substance than a thin potato chip, not to mention, less calories and fat!...

Frito Lay Sun Chips would never have been on my personal shopping list, I've another review available that sings praises to my favorite snack. My husband is responsible for this review, because he loves these crunchy, wavy, healthy chips.

We were on a road trip, and he had a bag to munch on, so of course I had to sneak one. ;) Surprisingly, I really liked them myself!

We buy them regularly, because we sometimes just have simple meals that require only the most simple of accompaniments. We've tried all the flavors, original being my choice and French Onion being his. They are a bit high in sodium,...

I have always loved Sun Chips because they have just the right amount of crunch and lots of flavor.  Each chip has a wavy and crunchy texture and is high in flavor.  These chips are rolled with whole grains and have a light and crispy texture.  The plain variety is flavored with just the right amount of salt and whole grain taste.  Besides plain, Sun Chips also comes in onion, cheddar, salsa and sweet cinnamon varieties.  Each serving is only 140 calories and 6 grams of fat.  The texture on each chip is amazing and tasty

Everyone in my house loves these chips.  They are really flavorful and so much healthier than chips.  They have a yummy nutty flavor to them, and even though they are a little more expensive, I think they're worth it.  You can even by the small lunch size bags now, which is nice for the kids.

I wanted something different to go with my sandwich so I was wandering throught the chip isles when I spotted Frito Lay Sun Chips Original multigrain chips.  I read the nitrition facts on nearly everything and this was not an acception.

First thing that caught my attention was that it contains less than 30% fat than regular potato chips.  It had no trans fat and no cholestorol.  Of course it is laden with sodium, can't seem to get away from that in most processed foods.

To me ithe taste is light and crisp with a slight salty taste.  I like it really well.  It goes great with most meat and...

These chips are very good for a low-fat chips.  They do not have that cardboard taste.  I particularly like the plain ones.  If you are looking for a low fat and less expensize chip this is the chip for you.
