Friskies Canned Cat Food Review Summary

"You can count of Friskies to be the food your cat will like," says one enthusiastic feline owner. Friskies Canned Cat Food comes in a large variety of flavors and several textures for picky kitties. The six ounce cans are perfect for one meal - no cold leftovers for your cat! Although this cat food is affordable and savory, it isn't the highest in nutrition of all the cat foods out there. Still, our cat loving reviewers say their cats are healthy and happy and won't eat any other brand! Check out reviews of other cat foods and compare.

My cats are spoiled to the fine taste of friskies. They absolutely love it and gobble up every morsel. They all three prefer shredded  over the blended. I can't say that I blame them for that. The shredded does look more appetizing.  at least it's good to know i have wise cats. lol This… read full review »

I buy cases of this food for my 13 cats (8 indoor and 5 semi-feral) and they eat almost every morsel of it.  They don't like the kind that looks like it has been through a blender, they like the shredded and prime filet brand.  The last 2 are also easier to get out of the can and spread… read full review »

I didn't have any pets until I married my husband who is a cat owner. I didn't know that I am a cat person until I met & became the Mom of these 2 darling cats, JC & Raven. — My husband always says that I spoil-rotten the cats; and he's right! Whenever we shop for cat food, we only look for Friskies brand - canned food, dry food or treats! We have tried to feed them other brands, and I can tell that they don't like them because JC smells the food before she eats and walks away. — I'm glad that now Friskies canned food comes in so many varieties - beef, beef & salmon (this is… read full review »

In my house ( I live alone with two cats) we refer to Friskies as Snickers.  And that is because they act like I am giving them candy when I pop the top of a Friskies can.  It is great that their are so many varieties, but it also made it difficult to determine what my cats liked.  They are fans of loaf style and prefer seafood.  They will lick the sauce of the shredded or chunked, but that is all.  I don't think this is an issue because I am sure the others are liked by different cats.  It is also nice that it is affordable and better yet comes in economy priced… read full review »

Living on the farm people often ask me if I have "barn cats"    The answer if a qualified yes.  Yes, they do live in the barn because there are fourteen of them and a HOUSE with fourteen cats could BEmore like a barn.  But they do get put away overnight in the old milk room, with a heater in the winter and a fan in the summer and each has his or her own dish and bed.  And each is spayed or neutered.  No one has to go out if he or she would prefer staying inside on cold winter days.  There is dry food available at all times and at bedtime there is… read full review »

I'm sure you've heard of "PICKY" cats, well I have one of them.  He is going on 14 years old now and his favorite canned food is Friskies.  We have tried the other kinds, but with no success.  No talking this cat into something he doesn't want to eat.  We always seem to go back to Friskies, so I am convinced, that is the food he likes best!!! — Friskies has been around for years, so they know how to make the most nutricious food for your pet and make it tasty for them.… read full review »

Friskies is alright, my cat does not like it, she barries it like she is in her cat litter box. We have to tell her Twinkles stop that, and it sits there until she eats it. Which normally isn't very lond maybe a couple hours, but believe she makes faces, and shakes her head like this is nasty. She is very picky on what she eats, it is so weird.… read full review »

I feed this food to our really old cat who has stared having trouble eating dry food. I feel it's a great value and it's a name I've been familiar with all my life.  The nutrition is probably not as great as the more expensive brands but for our old boy it's adequate. I mix it with a higher end dry food so it all balances out.  The price is right and the company donates a certain amount from each can to helping homeless animals. So for a good price I'm getting alot including the chance to help a poor creature that nobody wants. The food looks pretty good coming out of the can and it… read full review »

Friskies canned food is great in terms of price and availability. You can find it at almost any grocery store and certainly all pet stores. I usually buy the "loaf" variety, rather than sliced, filet, etc. because it's easier to spoon out in equal amounts. I like Friskies loaf because it's easy to feed the same amount every time. I buy the variety pack, which is a great deal. However, my cat doesn't like one of the varieties (the pink can, I think it's salmon). — Despite likeability (my cat's) and a good bargain, my vet says that Friskies is not the best in terms of nutrition. … read full review »

All 7 cats I have had in my home LOVE Friskies.  I tried to feed the premium brands and they walked away.  This is a good price, middle of the road food but my cats are happy and healthy.  Favorites are turkey and cheese, prime filets of turkey and chicken.  I tend to avoid anything labelled beef, just my preference, and I don't like looking at the ground up type food.  My cats don't seem to like the ground varities either, but that's probably because they aren't used to it.  I like that I can run into the grocery store and pick up some cans vs. out of the way… read full review »

Friskies is a very good cat food that is made of great ingredient's and quaity. I love friskies hard and soft cat food. Their cat food is alway's at a good price and they have many flavor's that cat's enjoy. Every bag that I have bought , they never got wasted, because they were ate by my cat's. The cat's really love that hard food with the milk balls in them. I buy over 20.00 in large friskie canned cat food. I like that they are also a company that provides coupon's for their buyer's.  your cat food is the… read full review »

The one area that i do not scrimp on and buy generic or unknown or "cheap" brands is on the majority of foods that i eat and ALL foods that my five cats eat.  While a name brand canned cat food will definately cost more than the same size "no name" brand, when you consider that you will be throwing out most of the cheap stuff, it is actually a better buy.  I recommend you wait until your store has a special price on Friskies and then stock up -- it's not like canned cat food ever goes bad. —… read full review »

Friskies is the cat food that cats love!  My cat will eat nothing but friskies.  She turns down even the more expensive cat foods to taste any of the many flavors of friskies... Looking over the ingredients it also seems that they are very healthy for the cats, though some other brands seem like they have more natural ingredients so perhaps in time friskies will come along more in this way to be more natural and organic... For now though this is the cat food cats love and on top of that its reasonably… read full review »

I have a manx cat ... that is a cat born without a tail for those of you that don't know... He is an outdoor cat that is very picky about what he eats. I feed him Friskies wet food, he is a very smart cat and if I decide to feed him another brand he leaves it ther for days and wont eat it. I am to the point that I wont even try to feed him something else. I like the texture of the food, it has good color it has nice chunks and not ground up like mush. It also seems to do something for my cats… read full review »
