Fringe Review Summary

Think X-Files combined with, well something else, and you have Fringe, the latest in a long line of creations from J. J. Abrams. This hybrid plot involves agents from both the FBI and the Dept of Homeland Security and follows them as they try and solve mysteries connected with "the pattern". Special agent Oliva Dunham, scientist Walter Bishop and his son Peter team to discover the source of all these scientific anomalies. They seem to be tied, in some way to a big corporation, but no one can really pin down the cause or reason for the experiments. They are treated as some big conspiracy theory to be tracked down. Reviewers are divided over this new program, some say "I wasn't disappointed. From the first episode it was great", but others lament they are, "not that impressed, but I will watch it again just to make sure.". Either way, it appears Fringe will make for good water cooler conversation the next morning.

I was looking forward to this show from the first time I saw the preview of it. Mostly because J J Abrams had a hand in it, so I knew it would be good. Second, I love sci-fi dramas that keep me guessing from day one! I wasn't disappointed. From the first episode it was great. I love the characters and... read full review »

I was not a big fan of The X Files.  Sure I watched the program every now and then, but I was not a rabid fan who just had to see every episode; heck I still haven't seen the movie.  So I was chomping at the bit to watch the new paranormal program Fringe on Fox, despite that fact that it is produced...

Could not wait to see "Fringe" from the first preview I saw! When the first preview came on my husband and I looked at each other and said it would be a must see! Was totally siked!

When the first episode came on, we were right there and not disappointed! Love it! Love it! Love it! Can't get enough of it! Hate it when the episode is over and have to wait to see the next! Addicted! I am a Fringe junkie!

Love Walter! I always seem to go for the out of this world nutty characters! They are crazy but brilliant at the same time! Love where he takes you with his mind then stops you right in your tracks...

When I first saw the previews for 'Fringe' I told my mom, "Hey, this looks pretty interesting". Did I under sell it! I have not missed one episode, and it's a good thing, too. I find the supernatural / sci-fi situations incredible! Nothing is off the table, it is completely out side the box. I love it! The characters are great. You have to love Walter. So brilliant, so scatter -brained, so nuts! He always makes you laugh. He can also make you cry. I really have enjoyed watching Walter and his son Peter, as their relationship has changed and grown. I like how they tend to link the characters together,...

OH MY GOSH,  LOVE THIS SHOW.  FRINGE IS NEW AND DIFFERENT.  THE DOCTOR PLAYS THE PART TOOO WELL SOMETIMES.  IT'S ALMOST LIKE HE LIVES THE PART IN REAL LIFE OR IS RELATED TO SOMEONE WITH THOSE PROBLEMS.  THIS IS PROBABLY THE ONLY SHOW THAT BOTH MY HUSBAND AND I TOTALLY AGREE ON WATCHING EVERY WEEK.  THIS IS ONE OF THOSE SHOWS THAT YOU FEEL YOU CAN BELIEVE THE GOVERNMENT HAS BEEN DOING.  CERTAIN PEOPLE KNOW THAT WE ARE JUST GUINEY PIGS.  EVER BEEN IN THE MILITARY?  GI STANDS FOR GOVERNMENT ISSUE.  YOU BELONG TO THEM.  AND GOD FORBID YOU SAY ANYTHING AGAINST THEM OR GO AGAINST THEM.  YOU... read full review »

I truly enjoy Fringe.  It's well acted and well written and wonderfully wierd.  It began sort of strange and has been moving closer and closer to beyond the fringe with each subsequent episode.  Anna Torv (Olivia) and Joshua Jackson (Peter) somehow are able to make all these wierd goings on seem matter of fact.  John Nobel is a wonderful mad scientist and a kind of sexy senior citizen.  Now that Leonard Nemoy has joined the cast I just can't wait to see what will happen next.  Bravo to FOX for bringing SciFi back to network primetime.

Fringe has become one of my favorite television shows of all time and is currently my favorite show on tv that is still airing new episodes.  The main characters on the show have an amazing chemistry together.  The actors have a lot to do with the chemistry because they are great actors.  I love that it is a science fiction show.  Science fiction is the best genre ever and the sci fi on Fringe is incredible because all of the different sci fi elements in the show could actually become plausible at some point.

Fringe is a great psycho-thriller mixed with sci-fi.  Takes the viewer through each episode in search of the elusive pattern.  Somewhat of the basic profile of X-files.  Each episode is the next piece of the ever growing puzzle. Characters are well written and very like-able.  Walter was locked up in a mental institution for 17 yrs.  Now that he is out, he has gone on with his experiments to help the FBI special agents in figuring out the pattern that in turn he helped create.

I am totally hooked on this show !  Great cast and great writers.  I love how the show sucks you in and keeps you completely entertained.. I am a huge fan of Joshua's , have been watching him since Dawson's Creek, but yet I find that I can't wait too see what Walter is going to do next.  This is one of the best shows ever and you only need to watch it once to get hooked

I stumbled across this show on accident and ended up watching the pilot episode and wow! I was hooked.. i plan to catch every weeks show as it kept my interest and had me excited to see what would happen next!

Very entertaining show.  Reminds me of X files when it first came out.  Some great shots of the plane and special effects.  Twists and turns with some phenemenoms and weird science experiments, government conspiracies.  Story was very entertaining and the Scientist was very good. Hope they can keep this show going as its entertaining.

This show is lame. It was interesting first time but now it is just plain dumb. It has gross scenes in it, so be careful when you are eating. The cast is nothing special, most are annoying, especially the scientist character. The whole premise of the show is ridiculous.
