I loved my stacked washer dryer. It's great for singles or couples. It fit in a regular sized double closet, next to the water-heater.  Hubby hooked it up in less than 1/2 hour and I was doing laundry. It washed very well, worked GREAT. I especially liked having the dryer at eye level, and found it easy to reach into. However, king-sized quilts or king bedspreads do not fit, which is okay if they have to be dry-cleaned, but a pain if you have to go to a laundry-mat.  King sized sheet sets do fit along with a few hand towels. This is a perfect sized for singles, couples,

Cons: this probably would not be the best size for a large family - unless every member does their own, (not a bad idea), nor for someone who prefers to do the whole weeks laundry at one time like my mom did.

I purchased mine new and paid less than mfg. retail suggested price. I used it for over a year in the condo. ... then when we were moving, a neighbor down the hall offered to buy it for more than I had paid for it.  (She said it was so popular it was out of stock in our area, she loved the size, color, and brand - and she wanted my hubby to roll it down the hall and install it for her before I changed my mind.)  I hated selling it, BUT our new place had a washer in it, plus it meant extra moving money and one less thing to move.

   PS  I enjoy doing laundry.  I still start a load every morning while I'm waiting for the coffee to drip, but since I now have a large washer,  I find myself doing a lot of half loads.
