I bought a brand new set and I chose Fridgidaire because I had loved my previous set. Withing 3 months, I had to have repair out because it would not empty water and spin. Constant Drain Problems

I have a Frigidaire Affinity Washer that is almost 2 years old, It worked well for the first year, than I started having problems with it draining. I read the error code, E20, and looked up the problem, Clogged drain. I took the hose off and cleaned it, found nothing, I then checked the pump, found a rubber check valve on the end, it seemed to be stuck, so I removed it and cleaned it also. That did not work as well. I than removed the rubber check valve and re-hooked up the hose. I ran It through a cycle, and it seems to work now. Works good for a front loading washing machine.

This is my first front loading washing machine and I have learned to use it. There are a lot of differences between these and top loaders and once you have learned these, it should run smoothy for you. I have learned that if I am washing something like cloth diapers (something heavily soiled), I use the extra rinse setting. Regularly clean the glass door and rubber filter inside the door. I have hard water and I have to clean the detergant drawer every so often and that is easily done. I also like all the settings: hand wash, light to heavy soil, extra rinse....

I purchased this washer and matching dryer in January of 2008. I have not regretted this purchase for a second! I did not purchase the pedestals that raise the set, and have regretted that. I love that it uses so little energy. It even knows how much water you need for each load! It is not as large as some HE washers, but that does not matter for my needs. I don't have that much laundry.

You will not regret purchasing this machine! It really saves wear on your clothing, and saves on your energy bills!

Okay washer

This is my first front loading washer. I would have to say that it has broken down more times than any other washer that I've owned. I've had the electrical go out on it several times and the door handle has broken off ( both problems that I've never had with another washer). The inner layer with the rubber gets moldy pretty easy and baby socks seem to come up missing. We even had a time where a baby sock went into the drain and clogged it up.

The Frigidaire Affinity washer is a nice washing machine. I have not had any problems since it was installed 2 weeks ago. It has enough options, with out offering too much that I do not think I would use.

There is a slight odor after using the washer if the door is not left open a crack to let the washer dry out. Occasionally if a heavy item, like a bathroom rug the washer is not able to spin it enough.

I am the un-proud owner of the Frigidaire Affinity front load washer. I give it a 10 on everything but reliability. That gets a zero! This thing has tore up 4 times in a year and a half. It's always the same thing. Will not spin the water out at the end of the wash. This is the last Frigidaire product that I will Own. The last washer we owned was a hand me down. It lasted 7 years after we got it. BYE BYE FRIGIDAIRE!!!!!

Clothes smell bad after washing - don't buy

This machine does not clean the clothes. I have to rewash things because they smell bad. The washer smells horrible all the time. I have to run an empty cycle with vinegar so I can put clothes in. I can't let my kids wear clothes that smell like bacteria. I wouldn't recommend this washer to anyone.

I love my new washer, it is a front loader from Frigidaire. My clothes have never been cleaner. It is also energy efficient and uses much less water than the top loading type of washer. I can do double the amount of clothes per load in this washer saving me a lot of time. The cycle selections are wonderfull, with temperature, amount of spin drying time and even a delay wash cycle. It is well worth the money I paid for it.

You need to use High Efficiency detergent with this front loading machine, as you should with all front loaders. Regular detergent can gum up the mechanics of the machine. I've used it for a year now and have not had any problems with it. It has 16 cycles, heavy duty, extra large capacity, tumble washing, with end of the cycle chime (on or off) to name some features. I paid approx. $600. for it.

A great washer! Uses less detergent, water and electricity. Definately worth the few extra bucks. Will pay for itself over time. Also much gentler on your clothes than a top loader. Just make sure you buy a front loader with a round door. The square ones tend to leak. We love ours and recently bought our daughter one as well. My father is actually looking for a deal on one himself.

Great washer for the money!

We just receintly purchased a Frigidare Front Load Washer and I think it is great. The clothes come out clean and I think we received a great deal. The only down side it that with heavy loads such as pillows and bath rugs, the spin cycle seems to leave them a bit wet. They are not dripping or anything, they just seem to have a lot of water left in them. Other than that, it is great.

I didn't think that a front load washer would do such a great job in washing cloths. Not only does it get my clothes cleaner, but it uses less water! Top load washers belong in a museum. I've noticed that my clothes come out cleaner and brighter. I love that it uses less water.

I purchased the Affinity washer and dryer after alot of research. This front loading machine is fantastic. It is quiet, uses little water and gets the clothes more than clean. It has reduced my water consumption alot. It has been reliable and easy to use. I would highly recommend this machine.
