In April of 2008 I was a proud owner of the front load Affinity washer. It was SO quiet! It was SO fast! It used SO little water! It took SO little soap! It had NO manual? Hmmm.
In July I was no longer proud. When I contacted Frigidaire about my issue of clothes still being drenched and standing water in the washer I was immediately set up for a repair. I mentioned I had no book. "We can only have one work order per appliance and since you have a work order now for your repair we cannot send you the book until you close out the first work order. Then call in and set up a work order for the manual..." Huh?
That shouldv'e been my BIG YELLOW FLAG! From the repair of the filter clog I was told I used the wrong soap, only he soap he said. That IS what I was using - the bottle was right in front of him - although I had NO MANUAL to tell me anything else.
The next time it stopped working - Septemberish, I used too much soap. Huh? I didn't even go to the lowest line on the bottle cap - but I had NO MANUAL to help me further. UGH!
December had another visit - my husband was home for this one...tried to remember what all I had to do, something about hair clogs, soap, measuring spoon...WHAT?
April needed a fix - Oh, lucky me! Just under the wire - 12 months have quickly passed. Now it's July, same issue only getting worse, pauses and stops in a cycle with ater to the lip of the door - and guess what...I have no warranty. My extended warranty from the store I purchased from does not cover a previously repaired part!
Throughout this whole ordeal I have contacted Frigidaire - it's not a Lemon I was told. There's no recalls I was assured. Frigidaire told me they'd only consider a replacement if the repair company said it was unrepairable. Are you kidding me??? The repair company probably LOVES this machine. How much money have I put in their pockets already? They don't want me to get anything RELIABLE...they would become the old Maytag guy from the commercials.
If you are having as many problems as I am, let me know! I am so curious about how many of us there really are? Frigidaire CANNOT ignore this piece of junk that cost WWAAYYY too much for it's perfermance.
Don't get me started on the dryer that goes with it....
