Frigidaire Washer - Affinity Front Load Review

I have had my affinity washer and dryer for less than a year and I hate them! The washer doesn't wash the clothes very well at all. I've tried every HE laundry detergent so I know it's not the detergent. Not only do the clothes smell, but it looks like laundry detergent is left on them. I follow the measurements on the detergent and even have added less but still have the problem. And the clothes just don't feel or look clean (I don't now how to describe this but a huge difference from my old washing machine). The only way to get my clothes "clean" is to put it on the sanitary cycle which takes 2 hours to run. Otherwise, I usually end up washing my clothes twice. I've never had to use fabric softener either until I bought this washing machine. After drying, the clothes aren't soft. The softener helps with the softness and helps with the smell but not totally. And, I just feel like I'm wearing dirty clothes with fragrance. I've also tried to wash less clothes. Everything I am doing to get my clothes "clean" is defeating the purpose of having this washing machine. As far as the dryer goes... not much better. I usually have to run the dry cycle through twice to get the clothes fully dry... and that is on the Towels cycle. All settings are set to the max (highest temp, etc). And, everything is so very wrinkled. I hate wrinkles!!! I've taken the clothes out right after the cycle and still, no luck. Putting less laundry in also doesn't help either. The idea of having the front loaders is to save on energy. I'm afraid I'm wasting much more. Not only wasting energy but time and $ as well. A total waste. I'm usually the first one to go out and get the newest product but I think we are going to end up going back to the traditional washing machine and dryer. I cannot wait to get rid of these!!!!
