Frigidaire Counter-Depth - NOT recommended for families

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

We purchased the Frigidaire Elements counter-depth refrigerator because we did not want to fork out the money for a sub-zero refrigerator, yet we didn't want the fridge to be sticking out into the middle of the room.

It actually works fine... as long as your toddler doesn't play with the temperature control on the meat/cheese drawer (we've had frozen cheese several times because she moved the control to the coldest setting).  It stays cold, the freezer stays frozen, what more can you ask for in a refrigerator?

Well... SPACE.  By giving up 3-4 cubic feet of space for the sake of a counter-depth refrigerator, we shot ourselves in the foot for being able to save money at the grocery store.  When refrigerated or frozen items are on sale, we don't have room to stock-up on them (unless we use our old big refrigerator which is in the basement as our back-up since our main refrigerator - the Frigidaire - is too small).    That's why I don't recommend this (or any other counter-depth refrigerator) for families.  You'll have a hard time storing all your groceries.
