Two years ago we redid our kitchen, and in the process I received my first dishwasher!  I loved my Frigidaire dishwasher from the moment I first laid eyes on it.  It has a beautiful Stainless Steel looking Design, which gives our kitchen a sophisticated look.  And with a price-tag of less than $ 300.00, it fight right into our budget.

What I like most about my Frigidaire dishwasher is the five different wash cycles.  I can choose to wash only the upper rack, if I have a very light load.  Or if I'm washing dishes with baked on, or dried on, food, I can select to use the Pots & Pans cycle.  The light wash is for lightly soiled dishes.  There is also a rinse only cycle which is used if I'm not ready to wash the dishes yet, but want to rinse them all off.  About 90% of the time, I use the normal wash cycle though.

Luckily, our dishwasher came with a one year warranty.  We had some intermittent problems with the touch-pad controls when we first installed our dishwasher. We simply called Frigidaire and alerted them of the problem.  They gave us the name of the repairmen to contact, and we had them come out and inspect the problem.  We received a new touch-pad and haven't had any problems since.  I have no complaints about the problem we experienced with the touch-pad, because Frigidaire immediately fixed the defective touch-pad without any problem.  That's the kind of customer service I want when I've spend a few hundred dollars on a product.

The touch-pad is located on the front of the dishwasher and displays several options.  There is an indicator light that lets me know what the dishwasher is doing.  i.e.; washing, drying, or if the cycle is complete, the CLEAN light is lit.  The delay start option allows you to automatically delay starting the dishwasher from 1-3 or 2-4-6 hours later on.   I can use the Hi-Temp Wash option, which will increase the water temperature and help to remove food and/or grease from very soiled dishes.  The heat dry option helps to dry the dishes faster.  I only use this option if I don't plan on emptying the dishwasher as soon as it's done running.  The dishes are way too hot to touch when you use this option.

After my one year warranty expired, Frigidaire contacted with an offer to purchase a replacement warranty.  The price was inexpensive at less than $ 80.00 a year, and it covered the cost of any repair or replacement that may be needed.  Since I've had a good experience with Frigidaire when I need them, I know that the warranty is worth the money.

I'm very pleased with my experience with Frigidaire and my dishwasher in general.  It's made my life so much easier!

You are one of the lucky ones. Check out the following page: http://www.consumeraffairs.com/homeowners/frigidaire.html. It seems like a lot of people have a lot of problems with Frigidaire items, particularly dishwashers. Figured I would post a reply so that this entry had the same balance as every other page I have found on Frigidaire's products.

We bought a Frigidaire washer and dryer set this year. I am more and more impressed with their products. Good to know their dishwasher is as great.

Good review! I wouldn't even attempt to review a big electronic. All I know is it it works. And even then, I'm not always sure. lol.

Did you have to pay the repair man at all, or did Frigidaire pay for it? And does it really wash or just sanitizes? I'm sure you know what I mean, the initial dishwashers were actually just dish-sanitizers! . . I can't wait to get a dishwasher! ;o)
