Comments about Frigidaire Gallery FGHS2655PF 25.5 cu. ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator - Stainless Steel:

We purchased this refrigerator about 3 years ago, and sometimes almost hope for it to quit working! The design is fine, and has plenty of room. Shelves are easy to move and adjust how you like them. The BIG problem is the icemaker - noisy, and often has issues with ice getting stuck in the chute when you're trying to dispense it. The icemaker produces rectangles attached in groups of 2-5. Anything over 2 attached cubes gets caught in the chute - and the twisty thing inside that I assume is supposed to break apart the cubes obviously does not. So about 25-50% of the times you go to dispense ice, you also have to deal with unclogging the chute and/or cleaning whatever ice has fallen on the drip try or floor. I realize this is not an actual crisis, but if you are paying to have this feature it should work properly. Besides the ice clogging the chute, the whole refrigerator is loud whenever water runs through the system or motor kicks on. the first few weeks we had, it made me jump from several rooms away. I forgot about it, until we had company stay with us and saw everyone jump while we were watching a movie - it was funny but really it is that loud. It certainly keeps food cold, and we like the appearance but will never buy this brand again.

FRIGIDAIRE DOESN'T EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR!

Comments about Frigidaire Gallery FGHS2655PF 25.5 cu. ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator - Stainless Steel:

What a mistake...purchased the Frigidaire side by side and it is a nightmare. The ice dispenser has had issues from day one. The filter needs constant replacing which is an expensive proposition and the noise it makes is unbelievable. What a disaster. If that isn't bad enough I purchased a Frigidaire microwave convection (no small outlay of cash might I add) and it died (of course after the warranty expired) What happened to appliances that last and perform like they should????
