I bought a Frigidaire upright freezer. Less than 1 month later, it stopped working. The repair guy couldn't come out for a week. Naturally all my food was spoiled. He told me it had been repaired several months prior (I bought this as being brand new)! The store would not take it back. The repairman said he had to order a part. He never came back. Never returned calls either. Contacted Frigidaire, and they couldn't care less about me freezer no longer working or the food that was all ruined. No restitution was ever made. I prefer an upright freezer to a chest because it is easier to get things in and out of. I have had both kinds and the upright is much easier to get things out of and to keep clean. You don't have to stand on your head to get something out of it. Also it takes up less space.
